  1. DUH! I guess i should read the whole title of the thread.....
  2. I have seen this bad boy in person, and let me tell you, the pictures dont do it justice. these dont disappoint.
  3. Take a deep breath, and get to cutting. Good luck, and keep us posted.
  4. Cant wait. I did some work on a Vader build a few years ago, did a helmet, belt, cod, shin armor, but stopped short. Im all in on this TK build everything is here now its just the building, would love to do more, will prolly do a sandy next after my wife starts breathing again.
  5. I like your blaster. who makes it? I went with Hyperfirm I love it but am considering another maybe, just to have. this hobby is addicting LOL
  6. Got my holster from Darman, was here before i knew it. waiting is the worst. good looking build you got there. good luck with the troop!
  7. Continued in the following tread.. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22781-spectors-first-tk-build/
  8. I maybe wrong but those look like your shin pieces, and the way I understand it, is that Velcro is how they should be closed. No other way to get your feet in. If thats the case then glue one side of the cover strip down with E6000, and use industrial strength velcro on the other side. remember to glue down the side facing out from you. (out )in (in )out. use heat if need be but be very careful so as not to overheat the ABS and deform it. as far as the AB piece im not sure what you mean, are you talking about the return edge on the top? If so that can be trimmed down to help with fit, and your breast plate will cover it anyway, I am guessing minimal return edge on that piece is better. Will someone with far more experiance than I please correct me if im wrong, It's probably better explained in this tread. http://www.whitearmo...ure#entry145379 Craig225 from Australia's Southern cross Garrison, used this picture to illistrate
  9. Yeah, its not so bad, im building with EIB CENT in mind, and I am being extreamly critical about every cut or imperfection I think I see. I think that if I was just shooting for basic approval standards I would not be trying quite as hard. not sure thats exactly how i meant to say that but you get the Idea. mistakes are part of the build im learning to live with that. this wont be my last build but what i learn now I can help others out with and not repeat on my next build.
  10. alright so i did some work on one of my thigh pieces and it just wasnt working with the overlap joint, so i pulled it apart and to get it to fit I had to lengthen the front and add to the cover strip size some. so I took a little off of the natural curve, and set in the cover strip and trimmed it all up a little. this is the result. I still need to clean it up a lot and smooth everything out, but hopfully this will fly. im still working with the back, but didnt want a 3 inch cover in the back so it will look close to this.
  11. Sad part of this is I used to hold the exclusive distributor rights for Tandy leather for the area, years ago when I owned my hobby shop... hindsight huh.
  12. Thanks to everyone for your help so far. This build has been mod intensive from day one. I'm not a small guy, 6 foot 240ish (or however many stone that is for you UK guys) getting it to fit and getting it to not look like crap on a stick are two totally different things. The routine has become something like look at it, try to fit it, bang head on wall, look at FISD, bang head on wall, look at it again, bang head on wall, take a Xanax, go to bed and cry myself to sleep, rinse and repeat. all and all its fun! Will post more pictures as soon as I have some, soon as this headache goes away and I patch the hole in the wall from the head banging. Think I may give myself a concussion if im not careful. anyway back to it, and thanks again!
  13. these are to be closed correct? no velcro closure? how do you get them on over your boots? Or do the boots go on after seems like an uncomfortable position.
  14. I understand that the AB rivets are 5/16 x 7/16 brass split rivets. Is there a source commercialy available? Home depot ,Lowes? I also understand that the Cod rivet is the same, what about the knee belt ones, are they the same? and pop rivets are frowned upon for any of them. Correct?
  15. That Helps alot! great pics, saved that to favorites. Thank you Sir!
