  1. Ok so got all my parts pre trimmed and have been test fitting the thighs and shins, I have heard that Anovos may have got the numbers mixed up on the shin parts, I seem to have got mine lined up fairly good but not sure if the 'look right', Any input would be appreciated. I think I may have got a bit tight at the ankle Something I might have to fix! Im 6'1" tall by the way
  2. Are all the anovos shins marked wrong does anyone know?
  3. Good luck with your build Kieren
  4. Great idea with your shims by the way!
  5. Just an idea here but if anyone didn't have enough off cut material for the correct length for inner cover strips on thighs, forearms etc, or they cut up the off cut pieces two small on initial trimming, they could instal them in 2 or more pieces instead of one with a join/joins that are barely noticable in the inside of the armor. It would still have much the same strength
  6. Thanks for the input guys To me the cover strips also look more pleasing rounded and in keeping with the overall design of the armor
  7. Does anyone know if the cover strips can have 'rounded' corners or does everyone 'square' them off? Would a 'rounded' corner pass centurion?, I just think it looks better. Also a lot of cover strips I am seeing on various armor builds look as though they are sticking out past the armor slightly, is this usual? Something I have noticed on the Anovos Kit is the return edges all look a bit too wide, What would be the minimum you could go to shaving this edge down?
  8. Fair point I might at some stage make one just out of curiosity to see how it looks!
  9. Im wondering if the anovos hand guards could be used as molds, fill them with white sanitary silicone and make your own? Just an idea!
  10. Is this a suitable replacement belt for my anovos belt? Overpriced maybe or about right? ------------
  11. SDS left, Anovos on the right, a telltail giveaway on a Hero lid is the bubble lenses and lowered brow
  12. Wow Kalani, great Job you are doing on your kit and enjoying all the pics which I will be studying for my build.
  13. Ha ha, As in 'one is hard the other soft', 'hard edges Vs soft edges' yeah?
  14. Got my BBB yesterday, was a bit worried when I first got the delivery as the box looks very damaged but everything inside looks good so have a feeling it must have just been some water/rain damage to the box. Anyway just thought I would share a few comparison shots for everyone between the Anovos Lid and the SDS Hero lid. Apart from the obvious differences between one being Stunt and the other Hero would anyone like to comment or share any thoughts on the two? Some things I have noted are, the plastic is more shiny on the SDS but they are both relatively the same thickness at just over 1mm. The paint looks a different shade, black, grey and blue. Mic tips look different, different size mesh and the mesh is more to the front on the Anovos and more recessed on the SDS. I know the brow is meant to be lower on the SDS but the angle of the face plate when viewed from the side looks way off!. Probably loads more things to say here but this is my initial observation.
  15. Thanks for the quick reply Brian I was actually going to buy this tomorrow but after what you said I think I will give this one a miss for now and just wait and see what the anovos one is like.
  16. I spotted a under suit today in Aldi as Im a bit dubious about what the quality of the under suit from anovos will be like. The yellow lines could surely be covered up by dyeing or a black marker. Could be handy as a back up either way. Any thoughts or has anyone seen or bought these before? ---------
  17. Very nice stand Ian, simple but effective design that doesn't detract from the baster in any way, there are some great looking stands out there but sometimes I find myself looking at the stand more than the blaster, Yours strikes a good balance, well done trooper!
  18. Great Idea Chris! Here is a link to my E11 Blaster stand, hope it helps others http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/27882-e11-display-case/
  19. When I got my notification for my TFA bucket the delivery date kept changing, then I got a call out of the blue on a completely different day from the courier driver saying he was outside my house with the box, luckily my father was home to take it as I was out!
  20. Got my notification too Chris and will also be paying my duty and tax too soon after, bitter sweet but still worth it I think, depending on the bill! I feel you pain brother!
  21. Just got shipping notice off UPS for my TK kit for next monday, yippie! Doubtful it will actually arrive next monday based on passed experience but at least I know it on its way and will arrive sometime soon!
