  2. Awesome, can't wait to see it completed.
  3. TK-12276 requesting access. http://www.501st.com/members/displaymember.php?userID=15895&costumeID=125 Thanks
  4. Do you happen to offer them for sale? I just acquired a grappling hook yesterday, but could really use an accurate box.
  5. i'm glad it helped, I think the only thing in the video that is in question, is the placement of the ammo belt on the right thigh. Also, I'm not sure the way he trims his shoulder bells is correct for the ATA kit.
  6. I just pushed the ends on mine, and it was tough to get off. I think I had to line the end up with the counter, and bang it off, like if you were trying to take the cap off a bottle.
  7. Excellent work on the grappling hook and box, can I ask how you made the box? I have a grappling hook on the way, and need to make a box.
  8. If I am counting correctly, you will need close to 40 snap plates, depending on how many you use in each connection of the various armor sections. E6000 was also helpful in that aspect when I had to relocate some snap plates for a better fit.
  9. ATA armor doesn't overlap, it buts together and gets a cover strip. Take a look at the trooper bay video, he explains it. http://trooperbay.com/videos/assemble-accurate-stormtrooper-armor/
  10. Wow, I had no idea that existed, I guess I could try and get a log in from him, but I'm nearly finished.
  11. There's an ATA owners group? Where's that at? You trim away enough material to account for half the cover strip, from each side. The size of each cover strip was listed on one of the extra pieces of ABS I received with my ATA kit. Youcan do strips on the outside and inside of the pieces if you want a little extra support.
  12. I put my snaps in webbing and glued them all over the ABS of my ATA kit, and did not see any signs of melting from the metal and E6000, even under the couple of snaps I had to remove and reposition, it didn't look like it affected the armor at all.
  13. Looking good,. The cap doesn't have to be totally even since that part gets covered by black rubber.
  14. Looks great, I started researching the iron man armor on TherRPF the other night when I couldn't sleep, amazing what can be done with foam. I am considering attempting a helmet once I complete my stormtrooper armor.
  15. I wear a 8.5 in shoes and got size 9 boots, they are a little big, but it's just enough room for some good insoles, and I could still use some thick socks.
  16. Here is what was suggested to me. http://m.homedepot.com/p/Loctite-Plastics-Bonding-System-681925/100371829/
  17. There should have been a couple of sheets of ABS included for strips, the inner diameter of the TD caps is about 2.33, so it fits nicely with a 2" piece of conduit.
  18. Harbor freight or an auto parts store are your best bet.
  19. I just got size 9 boots from tkboots, a few weeks ago. e-mail them to check stock. 9 is a little large on me, but better with the inserts, I wear a 8.5 in nikes.
