  1. Hard to tell but doubtful. Its a stock F/X pic and I can't tell between his 3 shots of an assembled trooper if they are actually the same trooper.
  2. Rolf, never apologize for making a post like this, it too often gets lost in pages on pages of reading about topics. Also asking in the way you did encourages people to answer with Why the feel someone is more lawful than someone else, which is a great help in letting people decide to who to or who not to do business with. Just an example for ya: Say someone cast up a screen used set of armor, this suit is beautiful but they are notoriously hard to get because he flakes out and takes money, that guy would be lawful armor wise but unlawful of a business man Someone recasts that suit, but is a great person always responds and ships on time. Are they unlawful? Your type of thread asks and helps answer that question.
  3. Let me clarify something here, The maker of the suit does not matter as far as being accepted into the 501st. Just because someone was accepted with an ATA or a PT or VT kit does not make it a "Lawful" suit to purchase. Recasts are recasts, unless permission is given by the maker*TE AP etc etc etc* that is ripped off it is not ok to do it and should not be ok for you to buy it just because its cheaper.
  4. Best answer to the pauldron debate ever.
  5. I believe the beef is the sole cut, Caboots and other forms have a flat sole with little tred. These are a little beefier of a tred pattern and have the arch in them. But in the Dr Marten's defense, in the picture you posted of the hanger bay scene, it looks like there may be an arch to the boots, its very hard to tell but they don't quite look as flat footed as caboots.
  6. Actually that was EPIII and the Visual Dictionary, that included Vader's Fist first. Thats a slippery slippery topic. Canon as far as I've ever heard it is tiered, Canon A being what is used the most for 501st Costuming calls, that is anything in the movies or things offically eleveated to the tier by LFL, so far there is the following that they call canon- The Force Unleased, the Clone Wars movie and the currently CG Cartoon series. Canon B is the offically sanctioned stuff, this is where Battlefront, all the EU etc falls. Canon C is fan fic and alternate universe stories like "What If?" Styled comics from a few years ago of the original trilogy. The heavy weapons trooper is accepted EU variant of TK armor, that is where you can have a TK with pauldron. As far as an offical ranking? Other than the pauldron semi-ranks that I think hasbro did a number of years ago, there is no offical one, and I have heard the ear stripes where a rank system but I've never seen nor heard of a rank system guide applied to them. Wear the uniform, have fun. If your at a non-canon event toss on your pauldron, if your not, and your not, don't.
  7. I actually have 2 issues, aquring parts I didnt start with and ending up swapped with other people. I've managed to end up with about 3 pairs of shoulder straps and somehow I ended up with 2 forearms only 1 is mine, the other one is someone with a much skinnier arm than I and for the life of me I can not figure out where it got swaped or whose it is...
  8. I'm not sure what scares me more, the helmet or if you check his feedback, the stupid prices he paid for wrestling figure accesories 9.95 for a small bendy snake... Anyone that wants to buy this great screen used helmet I have a full screen used set for sale... screen used on Philly's NBC affilate
  9. I just off with the belt, move the ab dig it outta the underarmor and let fly. Don't forget to take your gloves off, even if your using the S/A rubber ones.

    Gas prices

Between 3.99 and 4.05 a gallon here north of the 'burgh. I got a 95 Grand Prix so I'm still averaging around 30 MPG right now, though buyin one of those 90MPG scooters is very tempting. We need to just drill Alaska and be done with it, the new rigs and new drillin methods are very low impact. I work for a natural gas company here in PA and we need just under an acre of free ground and occasional we hit oil locally so its there, its just so hard to get it out and to a refinery.
  11. I always went with either 2 things happened, the troopers shot, missed and were subdued by Ben or Chewie or it was a stun shot and they dont leave any blaster burns.
  12. Another place to check guys would be any hobby shops, a lot of the bigger ones carry Novus here stateside not sure about up north though.
  13. Thats not tooo bad, at the opeing for WSMI in Philadelphia I had was wonderin as I was changing why my thighs were fittin weird when they were fine the night before, here I had them backwards had my ab plate on and just couldnt figure out why I kept gettin pinched till I looked at someone else and something just didnt look right in reverse
  14. 22 still young enough to have caught the OT on ABC but not old enough to have seen any of them in theaters.
  15. For room keys and money since most hotels use those card keys now I just velcroed a plain nylon wallet inside my chest plate. Never carry my cell phone in armor always leave it in the room or in my tote or with a handler. Just keeps things easy haha no one needs to be calling when we're on duty any way lol.
