  1. Nice work Glen, I've got my Com Link already and have bought a set of nickle plated clips. Have spares if you want one, just let me know your address & I'll flick one over for you.
  2. Looking forward to the build thread mate, good luck.
  3. Here are my Squirrel Fans mounted in my RT-Mod Bucket. I ran that battery packs to the opposite sides of the bucket to use up the cable without needing to mod it at all. My Head is 24 3/4" and I can still get it in carefully with both fans, both battery packs, microphone & the wireless mike transmitter. I just have to take care with the mesh on the frown as I can scratch my nose on it, I've bought some nylon sewing edging that I plan to glue over the edges of the mesh to avoid this. I used double sided tape to test mount them and once happy I ground off a couple of the mounting lugs to allow them to sit as flush as possible. Then just some hot glue on the back and push them in. The battery packs are velcro'd in to allow battery changes. -----------
  4. I don't believe you disappointed anyone David. I for one think you were very courageous in running for DL, especially against a member as popular as Eric. It's a huge responsibility and not to be undertaken lightly. Prop's to you mate, hope you stick around now your membership is sorted out.
  5. Congrat's Boss Man, looking forward to 2013 with you at the helm.
  6. Hey Sean, Welcome to the RT-Mod club brother. I remember the brown box of goodness well. As Glen posted don't stress about the Decals, the ones from Trooper Bay are great and are easy to put on. Just remeber if you decide to head for Centurion you'll need to build using the Cover Strip Method. Other than that you're good to go, good luck with your build.
  7. Yeah that will be fine. You might want to attach it with velcro though, just so you can remove it and was it if it get's sweaty & smelly.
  8. Requesting Detachment Status Update please http://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=14391
  9. Thanks Issac, I might try this as I did get some feedback last week when I put it on for my approval photo's. I wasn't sure if it was from my fans or something else.
  10. All the best Karin, hope to see you back soon.
  11. Dude I can't even count how many weeks that is I'll have worn mine out by then. Sucks you've got to wait so long but it will be worth it in the long run. Good luck with the move and the new job.
  12. Thanks mate, I'll look at that before my EIB/Centurion Application.
  13. Awesome job mate, that's one lucky young man. Have fun trooping together.
  14. Nice build Arturo, very clean. My only suggestion would be some foam to pad out the left calf and stop the sniper plate being caught under the thigh, would hate to see you break the plate or crack the bottom thight join. Mine was doing the same and I used a foam builder knee pad cut down. Not only did it fix the sniper plate problem, it also stopped the calf from rotating to a crooked position while I was wearing it.
  15. Congrat's on your kit arrival Frank (hope it's ok to christian you that, I'm Aussie so it's mandatory I shorten your name ). Glad to see it wasn't only me so excited by my kit arrival. Good luck with your build, have fun.
  16. Thanks for the heads up on the liner sizing. I'll look into the larger size as the RT Bucket is up sized to suit the larger armor.
  17. Thanks for the links. Great looking kit, I just don't think I'd be able to get it too fit. I'll see how mine goes before I make a decision. That liner looks awesome, might think about getting one to try & if it works getting a 2nd one. Would be great for 2 day troops to be able to replace it for a minty fresh bucket.
  18. Beautiful clean install mate. What is the material you've lined it with? Looks nice and soft, almost like foam? Did you glue your lenses in and then glue the liner over the edges of them? I still find I scrape my nose on the frown mesh at times taking my bucket off and I've been thinking about what I could use to cover the edges with. Was thinking material of some sort that I could glue over the edge of the mesh. I assume that you've mounted your electronics in the tubes of the helmet and covered them with the black conduit for neatness. Out of interest how big is your amplifier? I like the flat fans mounted down in the vocoder, I was thinking about these, but I'll wait to see how the blower style I've used go and decide from there.
  19. Hey Jeremy, I've never seen or heard the Hovi setup in the flesh but it's an awesome idea. Would be great to have to sound come out of the vocoder area like the design suggests.
