  1. No, you don't have wear an EIB or Centurion approvable suit once you get the status. Most people you'll troop with don't even know or care about the EIB or Centurion levels. I've never deviated from the EIB standards once I achieved them on a troop, but that's just because I haven't found a reason to yet. If I find some gloves that are more comfortable than my current ones that aren't EIB approved I'll likely let my comfort trump the accuracy and wear them.
  2. I've got a spare doopydoo's ANH E-11 kit that I started working on a long time ago and I recently cleaned up the work bench and rediscovered it. Since I've already got a ANH E-11 that I troop with I thought I'd build this one up as an ESB. I've got everything that comes in the Doopy's E-11 ANH kit, and a beautiful cast M19, but where can I source the rest of the Greeblies from? A quick search didn't turn up anything. Can someone point me in the right direction? Surely someone out there is making casts of the rest of the parts. Thanks.
  3. You can still use it. No one except a few people here will ever notice or care. I'm pretty sure mine is the older smaller one and I never noticed until it came up at build party.
  4. I can see it on my screen and it is definitely used. I'd say the listing is accurate.
  5. Congrats, Travis, although I think your R2 was a much bigger hit today than another TK would have been.
  6. Must not be completely useless. I was able to find the trim from the info he posted from his phone on my phone. Thanks Thalizar.
  7. I'll have to get one, I've always felt like my holster is to narrow.
  8. Probably a dozen troops now and I haven't had to make a repair yet. I wash my neck seal and body suit, give everything a quick inspection/wipedown and clean off any real bad scuffs and put it all back in the tub for next troop. Maybe 10 minutes after each troop. I'm actually a bit surprised I haven't had to make any repairs as I'm not afraid to run, jump, sit, fall or whatever in my suit.
  9. Looks just like the one I got from here. Should be approvable.
  10. Just sent you a message on my android. Appeared to work on my end. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  11. Quit knocking my auction guys, I've been making a killing selling these.
  12. I hated the foam star and ended up tossing it in favor of some higher density foam kneepads that I cut up and glued in.
  13. The first time I wore my full suit I was jumping, dancing, and going up and down stairs. I wanted to see where it was going to bite me so I could fix it. All of my pieces are snug, with the exception of the forearms. I think that really helps with my mobility. The only thing that keeps me from really moving around a lot when suited up is visibility. I don't want to run over any little ones.
  14. Just snapped a few quick pics of how mine went together. Maybe they'll help. What's the issue you are having?
  15. I have no problem putting my forearms on first, and then gloves. It's easy to push the gloves up the forarms with a finger or two once they are on. Once you get them built and try it out, it will make sense.
  16. I couldn't get away with the ACH pads because there just wasn't enough room for them and my big head, but I was able to repurpose some knee pads and get a snug and comfortable fit, that doesn't require a strap. Screen accurate or not, I don't get how people can use the yellow foam, I thought it sucked. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
  17. Can't wait to troop with you in that thing. You know... I have always wanted to build an R2-D2...
  18. I have a black flightsuit from Moncal and an orange one from Wampawear, both in medium. I had to make a few stitching repairs/reinforcements to the Moncal suit and it took about 5 weeks from initial contact to finally getting it. The Wampawear suit seemed to be a better quality and showed up 3 days after I contacted him. If you don't know the history between the two makers I would order the Wampawear, if you do the choice gets a lot harder.
  19. Mine is one of my license plate numbers. About 10 years ago when I got my first Kansas Veteran's tag the lady pulled it off the stack and said "Oh, this one has 666 in it, let me get you a different one." I flashed a devilish grin and asked her "Why would you want to do that, that one is perfect." My wife responded with a sigh and a facepalm and I got my new plate. I've actually had to pay extra over the years to keep it as it was originally a "truck" tag and it's gone from a truck to a car to a jeep and back to a truck again. You know... Because it's two keystrokes for them and I have to remove the sticker myself. Anyway, they ran out of 4 digit numbers while I was doing my build and it seemed like as good of a number as any.
  20. I've only done a few troops in my ATA but I've received plenty of comments from other costumers on how great it looks.
  21. I'm actually working on mine today. I think I've decided on this location. It blows the air right under my ears to keep my head cool and circulates enough air to keep from fogging up. In the short testing I did it didn't seem to dry my eyes out at all. Still finishing everything up and doing the wiring, but this might give you a general idea. The padding is repurposed knee pads. $12.00 shipped for a pair was enough for me to do my helmet. Amazon has tons of different ones, and none are very expensive. http://www.amazon.co...ils_o00_s00_i00 I'm using 2 12V Squirrel fans wired in parallel connected to 4 AA batteries wired in series. I was worried about how long they would run with this setup but I've had them running going on 3 hours now and the batteries are at about 5.4volts(down from 6) I wasn't happy with the speed and noise running them at 9v and running two fans in series off of 9v dropped the voltage low enough that the fans barely ran. Ideally, I think I'll end up using a 2 cell lipo(7.4v) and building a controller but it'll be a while before I have the time to do it.
  22. Bought into the pool at work... Someone want to check the 200 tickets for me? I'm going to bed.
