x1.
I practiced a few times so that I know what to do first without having to think about it too much. But I have always found that other troopers are willing to help out when needed.
+1.
You'll get a lot of enjoyment out of building your own armor. I think the experience and the pride you'll feel when your build is completed is well worth the hassle of re-selling the Rubies.
I also got mine from TK Leper after I tried to use some metal clips from Wal-Mart that kept breaking on me. He was a great resource and I hope his thread re-opens for future troopers sometime!
LOL, cool. I can TOTALLY see kicking back on a beach, in armor, having some drinks, being chill and checking out the ladies. "Chicks love armor" right?
There are a lot of good pics on pages 1 and 3 of this thread: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/665-howto-a-guide-to-making-a-canvas-belt/
To see where/how to attach my holster for EIB I looked at the pics taken by other EIB applicants.
Congrats on your first time suiting up! I've found that it gets easier the more often I do it. My first time I accidentally put my ab on too soon and then couldn't bend over to put on my boots.
Great point! I couldn't agree more! (It sure is tough though!!!)
I did a ton of research while I was waiting for my armor to arrive, so I was ready when it showed up!
I have been having that problem too. I'm going to try tightening the strap, and if taht doesn't work I may connect the edge of the shoulder bell to my chest piece with thin black elastic.
Congrats Minday!
