  1. I did my s trim the same way. Start and end at the vocoder. Mine seems to slip from times to time because my head is so big and tends to catch it when removing my bucket. Tempting to glue it in place as I have yet to finish everything and do a troop.
  2. Just whatever you do, don't get discouraged. I bought MTK because of the price and availability. Found out it was aimed at short, fat dudes but I guess I'm a little shorter and fatter. Ended up ordering AM2.0 legs and had to shim the kidney. I think you'll be happy with AM2.0 and should have no problems selling your AP.
  3. Did you use a sealant on the gaps between the ears and the cheek tube?
  4. If you don't have the templates already, you might as well as order them at the same time from trooperbay
  5. Here ya go: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/18874-humbrol-or-testors-colors-for-helmet-ab-buttons/?p=227920
  6. That's my way of thinking too. I have a bunch of scuffs here in there in my build and no reason to polish it out just to get dirty again. I'm going for screen accurate with real world accuracy at the same time. I spent 24 months out in Iraq. I know what sand does to equipment and clothing.
  7. Another sandy! I got all my paint at Hobby Lobby.
  8. Man, that sucks. Don't give up though and I think you'll make it. You should be able to rub off some of the weathering with a damp cloth like Pandatrooper did in his video.
  9. Trim those suckers down with a dremel! You're so close!
  10. Awesome sauce! Are you emulating a particular trooper? Since you're on a tight deadline, you should just focus on getting your basic clearing and can always adjust your weathering later on. Looking good!
  11. I've seen mixed things on the rivet covers for the belt. Should the squares have rounded edges or not?
  12. You need to use a upload service like photobucket to store your photos and then you link them here. FISD only gives so much space to begin with.
  13. At least in my experience and from other member builds I've read, the elastic wears out and the hole stretches out around the split rivet. Yes, it's not accurate to the original but it is more practical to use nylon webbing. To each their own.
  14. I HATE HATE HATE wearing gloves but even I suck it up when precision cutting with an exacto comes into play.
  15. Congrats! Lots of hard work went into this. I think the boots look great
  16. Look at those nice, big thighs! Can't wait to get those instead of my arts & craft kit I've got going on now.
  17. I think I was able to get on Friday but I didn't really try that much over the weekend. It definitely wasn't working for me yesterday at all
  18. It was down all weekend for me. Did the DNS flush, used cell phone, work network, home network... nada.
  19. I think your mustache alone is centurion level!
  20. If my bank account allowed it, I would love to get all of the TK/TD Hot Toys. I don't know how they decided to sculpt it but I see a Hero style holster and that's quite the gap from ab to kidney.
  21. I would hammer those legs of the split rivets down a little more flat. Once you're satisfied with it, give it a nice coat of E6000 so it doesn't snag your under suit!
  22. Now you just jinxed the site. Let's see if it can stay up today.
  23. After trying it on for fitment and just walking around your house, you'll quickly find the pinch points and will need to make adjustments.
