  1. What's the best place locally to buy foam? I have my thighs tapered as best as it's going to get but there's still a little bit of wiggle room by the knee. I can probably two fingers between my knee and the inside wall of my thigh. I know I need open cell foam and I guess JoAnn's would probably be the best place. Should I put the foam in the rear of the thigh or in front above my knee?
  2. Don't worry about the bottom until you've got the whole bucket assembled. Seems like you are back on track now.
  3. Awesome weathering! Might want to consider raising the brow some though.
  4. For your pouches, look here http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=10805&st=0. Super legit and amazing quality.
  5. The notch should be where the kidney meets the ab piece. I'm not sure where you heard the PO and SWAT are not accurate. SWAT is as screen accurate as you can possibly get. In fact, MEPD has been around longer than FISD and their deployment standards is something that influenced the creation of the EIB program (I learned this all on the awesome newsletter from this month). I'm also going for Davin Felth's "Look sir, droids". If you want to see a SWAT level submission for that trooper, check out Millenium1's submission posts http://forum.mepd.net/index.php?showtopic=13397&st=0
  6. You can use a little bit of heat to get them even and you can also glue a scrap abs backing to both sides to make them flush. Don't bother with the shin because a cover strip will... cover it
  7. I was just at walmart last night and looking at one. Tried to talk my wife into it for my almost 2 year old.
  8. Good work! When I did my shims, I only did it on the kidney side but I cut flush and removed the stock kidney notch and then recreated it at the end of the shim. Fairly certain what you have won't effect basic approval but unsure about Police Officer status on MEPD. I do know that even PO status has started to get a bit less forgiving based on recent deployment requests.
  9. Much better. Only recommendation I have is cleaning the ears up a little bit more. The disc part could use some smoothing. Lay a piece of sandpaper down on a flat surface and rub the disc part back and forth.
  10. Congrats! Now onto EIB!
  11. I know you're a tall guy but for me I need the opposite and need to keep my shins pulled down. I'll put in some elastic stirrups and velcro on the top of my boots. Can you post a new pic of your updated weathering?
  12. Put that T-21's sling to use! This weekend and Halloween will be my test run and alibi to make final adjustments before I go for submission
  13. You paint them after you cut them out.
  14. You are probably going to need to install some foam inside the shin
  15. Let's just hope we don't get this version instead lol
  16. The second sneak trailer didn't really give much up in regards to Luke. Showed R2 and a robot hand.
  17. It's a great time to be a little girl and just getting into Star Wars. My daughter is OBSESSED with Captain Phasma after I told her that the character is a girl. I think I've finally got her off of Frozen!!! I got her the Disney Store Phasma costume for halloween and she's worn it out with the wife about 5 times so far. At least we got our money's worth.
  18. The parts that are touching will need to be trimmed down a little until you've got the ear touching or as close as you can get. Can you take a profile shot of your helmet with the ears on. Just want to make sure you have the ears on the correct sides.
  19. You may want to readjust your knee ammo pack up and apply some E6000 where it meets the thigh in the center. It'll keep it from falling down
  20. I think they are definitely keeping his role a big secret. Can't wait!
  21. So much fail with fandango. First, I never got an alert like I signed up for. Second, pre-sales went live way before 8. Third, the only IMAX theater would not display any showings even though they are doing the marathon, and finally the app kept crashing. After about 45 minutes I was able to get a 7:20 Thursday 3D screening at a theater a few towns over. This experience is just as bad as Force Friday.
  22. I used a drill bit in a clamp, heated it with a butane lighter and pushed the nylon threw because I didn't want to buy a soldiering iron. You could use a punch tool as well but a soldiering iron or my ghetto method works faster.
  23. I used CA glue and it works great. Just give yourself plenty of room from the edge of the hand guards so you don't get run off.
  24. Tandy Line 24 are fairly popular and have a great reputation
