  1. Congratulations Jordan on becoming the 100th FISD Centurion Trooper. Well done. Nice clean application with nice detailed pictures.
  2. Congratulations Jordan This is a perfect TM EIB suit. I have also had the pleasure of trooping with you and have seen and inspected this suit close up. If you apply for centurion status, we will need to see pictures of the following items, even though I know that they comply. Green helmet lenses Helmet Mic tips Handpainted Tube stripes (Even though I know that Paul Troopermaster handpainted them!) Thermal detonator Blaster Close up pics, left right and rear Boots Crotch rivets Left and Right side body armour rivets Bicep straps No return edge forearms Shoulder straps, tie down elastics
  3. Looking good. Nice trimming to your AB and kidney plates. It's just the painting of your AB Buttons to attend to please. The colouring in is too small. Good luck trooper.
  4. I would not make you go down the route of getting new thighs. My comments were suggestions as requested. If you wish to re submit some pics then this may be all that is necessary. We are working together to improve your look.
  5. I don't understand why you guys choose to go for public arguments as the first course of action. I have NOT seen this suit in person. I can only go from pictures submitted. If I need a bit more close up detail then it should be ok for me to ask for this detail in order to process an application. On this EIB application, I have only pulled up on the thigh ammo pack radius curve. From the pictures I could originally see, it looked too shallow. If it required a fix, all you had to do was place a object in the corner, draw a new curve with a pencil, then re cut the curve with a pair or curved scissors. It's a 2 min job! It doesn't cost anything but a bit of time to improve the look. This is all that was suggested. The new close up pics make the curve look clearable. EIB granted
  6. Hi there. Your left hand side pic shows a problem with the crotch sticking out. I would have suggested shortening the crotch strap but cannot see it in any of you armour pictures. Was it attached for the photos ? You certainly have ESB shoulders there. Here are some "suggestions" as asked for. My first impressions are that the suit looks large on you but it does tend to match up to your height and weight. You have left quite a lot of return edge on a lot of your armour. This is helping with the chunky look. Your thighs could have also been made a bit smaller especially round The knees. I need to compare some ESB blaster pics against your pipe build blaster for comparison. It's up to you to choose to make changes in these areas. I will get back to you on the blaster.
  7. Your armour still needs a few tweaks here and there but you are up to the EIB standard now. Congratulations Trooper. Well done for all Your upgrades.
  8. Hi Mathew You are nearly good to go for EIB. Can we have your height and weight for the record to show myself and other applicants how an RT Mod suits your height I would like a ruler pic by the tan straps to show their width, this is not an EIB fail and can you also state the holster maker. The only thing that I would really like to see addressed is the radius curve on your thigh ammo pack. The curve is very shallow and still looks square which is one of the major upgrades from basic clearance on the old fx suits to EIB. Good luck trooper.
  9. Hi Katrin, This is a beautiful application but it needs a couple more pics to finish the process. The TD screws. The outside of your left side of your 6 AB and Kidney plates rivets. In your EIB thread you were pulled up about your hair showing. It needs to be shown corrected in your Centurion application. It's not on the CRL, it's just visually wrong. Your left drop box was pulled up in your EIB and corrected however it's showing wrong your centurion app with these pictures. Can you show the corrected picture please? And finally, can I see a ruler against the width of your tan holster straps please? They should be around 20mm wide. I can tolerate the strap width from 20 to 25mm but not wider. If yours measure up wider can you please trim down their width. You can take a few mm from either side and still keep your rivet central. This is also an easy fix. I am sure that you are only a few minutes away from an approval.
  10. Your latest action shot looks great. Well done for sticking with the program and carrying out modifications to improve your armour. My only critique left would be to do with your helmet padding. Your helmet appears to be sitting high and not the same in each picture. I will leave you to attend to that. EIB approved. Congratulations trooper.
  11. Rob from RS replied about the holster straps as follows. Hi Phil, we have them made for us, I checked the old batch we have which are 25mm, but the new ones are 20mm, which seems to be the correct size, that right? He also offered the following. Yeah, if we need to we can replace the tan straps for people. I don't think they need to replace them when it's an easy mod to change
  12. It's not just mentioned for fun. In fact I have cleared otherwise superb centurions recently that don't meet the CRL standard with that boot scuff in respect.
  13. @vecspeed The 501st centurion CRL states that boots must be slightly scuffed.
  14. RS rob and simon have not replied yet. Their suit did not come with an ANH standard holster. I was at a party with them 3 weeks ago, if I had known about this then, then I would have asked.
  15. I reluctantly have the EIB award as instead of correcting the holster strap width, an argument ensued. I knew that after fixing the broken parts of your armour, fitting your ab and kidney plates together then your armour standard would be centurion. My job was to help and guide to improve your look and a number of people decided to poke fun at me and throw insults. I would have proudly congratulated you for EIB if it was how I liked it at the time. Instead, I was honest and reluctantly passes you under pressure. I have not filled in the paperwork for two EIB applicants yet as I am operating from an iPhone only. Once your EIB paperwork is done. Then you will be processed for centurion. It would be nice to have seen the belt on in a picture of a ruler to show scale. You will have met the centurion requirements. Now, moving on. Poking fun at the DO is not constructive. At the end of the day I am a volunteer here to do a certain job. Let's line up the next and new DO if anyone is interested in this selfless task. I had more fun on FISD before having this responsibility for processing, admin and paperwork. With regards to standards may I say the following. Every detail cannot be put down in writing. Things change as new info and original material is discovered. What was once right in the past can change when new info is found. The armour looks different on different sized people and needs changes from person to person to suit. All the ANH film Stormtroopers were around the same size wearing the same production line suit. This is why you guys have to make scaling and size adjustments to suit you. Have you tried defining and putting that in a manual? The awards follow the CRL, but a visual inspection on how it looks on you is where it's at.
  16. You already know that your centurion application will not be approved with your 30mm tan holster straps. They visually stand out as looking too wide on this holster as mentioned in your EIB application.
  17. It's not an exact science. 20mm is the norm. You may have got away with 25mm as it may not have been picked up during a visual inspection. 30mm was picked up as looking too wide. In general I could pass a 6' trooper with a very long holster but fail a 5' trooper wearing the same holster if it looked too long and extended beyond the length of the thigh armour.
  18. Well well well guys. I have been away on business for the past few days and have come back to this spectacle. It doesn't matter what has been passed before. Different DO's see different things. The holster hanging strap widths are too wide I and I wanted to take this up with Rob and Simon at RS as to where they got their measurements from. Time and time again, it has been illustrated that not every detail is written in the CRL. The film screen shots are the source material. Source material is not previous applicants pictures. I like to promote constructive critique. The comments posted up about the measurements diagram is a superb example of helping. The comments about, my old armour passed like this unfortunately doesn't help. The comments from one member of FISD staff was supportive. Whilst the other comment from an FISD staff member was frankly embarrassing. I reluctantly grant a pass on this application with its 30mm holster straps. It is not a CRL comparison. It is a visual comment. It is a catagory that falls into armour construction. It is an area that could have been addressed with a Sharp knife for no cost to the applicant by trimming 5mm from either side of the strap to bring it in closer to 20mm It may have even looked fine at 25mm It just didn't look right at 30mm So.. This applicant has his EIB pass. I don't want to see another 30mm strap, it isn't likely going to achieve a centurion award. The
  19. I need to make enquiries about your 30mm tan holster straps and will get back to you. My first impression is that they are too wide.
  20. I would start with the other mods and leave the kidney repair till last. You can present your EIB pics without the kidney repair for review. If you live near North London, uk, you should contact Gary Hailes about getting to an armour party if you need help.
  21. The armour is pretty good. The helmet is an awful thing to put together. I can get over the 3 part helmet. I like the new detail and front faceplate. But it wasn't made for the rear helmet half. Consequently it needs loads of fiddling, rivets and adjustments to go together. I wouldn't recommend this helmet for a beginner to put together. This is just my opinion.
