Nuff said I believe. Its more of a TD than a o2 canister But anyone else is welcome to try and find some official statement/evidence that its an o2 canister, even though the book from wich theese pages came, says TD
-
Actually, the TD's have a VERY long o2 canister then Look at the right side of their backpack. The long round thingie with the tupperware bit in the bottom. But that could be anything really

As far as I know, its called a Thermal Detonator. O2 canister is its nickname

Cant seem to find the "like" button -
Oh, not long, not long... Only about 22-23 weeks... Order went through the 6th of December and I picked it up yesterday the 10th of May.

Nice I have thought about LSFU but I think its too expensive, and I can sew myself, so thats money saved I wont be going lancer with this either, as I want to instal a mesh in the ears and maybe cut the vents in the back of the helmet, and the mesh alone is enough to deny it lancer spec, so when I cant go super acurate I'm going super comfortable
-
As Paul said, scissors are very usefull! I trimmed more or less my entire kit with Lexan scissors. Search around and you should be able to find them cuite cheap. Think I paid 50-60 DKR for mine.

Already have a profile over at BSN, but for some reason I dont like it there. They seem a bit more up-tight, than your friendly neighbourhood FISD Dunno maybe its just me though But unfourtunately this may not become much of a build thread, as its kinda reserved for Nordic Garrisons event at LEGOland next month. We have talked about in the garrison to set up a workshop where the public can come and see that we are making theese things by ourselves and that its not just a complete costume we go out and buy, just like that. But damn its hard not to start building right away!!

Just picked up this box at the post office today. Brand new and all from MC Lots of news paper wrapping And underneath all that newspaper each part is nicely wrapped in foam thingie something Love my new name hehe Helmet and accesories. A small critique is that the lense have to be bought seperately, but he supplies two snout pieces, so I guess its okay to pay 3$ for a lense The discs for the screws on the helmet was taped together and the paint didnt want to let them go of eachother, so I will have to fix that. All the parts in all its glory!! Had to try this And just for a fun comparison And the pieces I already had Thats it

Need some advise on morals right now.
Arnie_DK replied to Arnie_DK's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Thanks for your opinions everybody And yes it is for someone outside the Legion who, I dont presume, want to be a part of the legion. Still, dont want to rip of my fellow garrison members who would probably chip in on this. I'll have a talk with the EC and see what we can figure out is fair and would work best. Thanks again -

We have actually a helmet on the way right now, but now its an entire suit were talking about... -
Hey everybody. I got a bit of a dilemma right now. I may be able to sell my Jedi-robe armour. The one I'm comparing to in THIS thread, but I'm not sure I should. First things first, its NOT for a prospective member, so I wont be recycling it. No worries there. But it may be donated to someone as a fun gift. An event coordinator have asked me if I want to sell it so it can be donated to a contact of his, at an upcoming event. I think this could be a great gift, but it just dont feel right. My dilemma is, that I dont mind getting rid of the costume for a good cause, but its still cost me over 900£ !!! plus extra!! I could never dream about asking this much for the costume now, but I still think its ALOT of money to just give away, when I could use it to make a death trooper, TKC, INC etc. Especially the deat trooper is tempting, as I dont want to ruin a good kit on this. BBut if I was to get rid of it and sell it, I would still like to get something out of it... Please help me in this decision. Both me and the seller know what kind of costume this is, and there are no secrets between us, but can I sell this, and what do you think is a reasonable price? Any thought is apreciated. Thanks

Yay GO DENNIS! Our little supporter is growing up to become a TK of his own

Just remeber to look at screen grabs for reference. You cant guarantee that just because the picture is in a build thread its accurate

The belt is attached to the front of the abdomen by two snaps. It does not need the velcro on the back, and it dont overlap and cover the gap between kidney and butt. It stays on the kidney plate, althoug it almost follows the bottom line(aprox half an inch above) Here is how I did mine, but look at the screen grabs for the real deal. ----------

Guess what I will be making :)

TM 1,5mm ANH(stunt) [*TM]
Arnie_DK replied to Arnie_DK's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Have theese really tight already. When there is no tension on the elastic, the fit perfectly flush with the armour. It sits a bit loose on me, but have thought about lovering the ab somehow, but when I pull it down, it cuts in to my thigs real hard. As it sits now, it fits naturally/falls in place on its own, in the crotch. I think I will try the bracket thing today and see how that goes. Its a real easy mod and can always be removed if it doesnt work. Might also try that solution on the butt/kidney, as my butt...well it sticks out -
Additional comparison picture added in first post.

Wow! Great find Just for comparison, I just bought one for just a bit less

TM 1,5mm ANH(stunt) [*TM]
Arnie_DK replied to Arnie_DK's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Maybe I'm just build funny Will experiment tomorrow, but I'd rather not cut in the chest plate. I like to keep a bit of return edge. But maybe shorten the elastic between the ab and chest could help... Well, only tomorrow will show But thanks for the input -

Its as short as it gets. If I shorten it any more I wont have room for the snaps...or my neck! -

Hehe... Fun facts Well back to upgrading this thing. I really thought I had fixed the back/kidney overlapping problem, but when looking at the pictures from my last troop, they still overlap sometimes. At first I thought it was when I was standing in a funny angle, but I can see that it happens almost at random. Think the pictures speak for themselves! I will NOT hold my Centurion title and not do something about his! Therefore I think it might help by adding some plastic strips that will go over the elastic straps and I'm hoping this will imitate the effect of the brackets on the original strapping system. Any thoughts on this ?
