Cool, didn't see the resemblance first to the grappling hook Luke use later. Was TK-421 the only trooper with a grappling hook that we see in the movies?

Sorry for the non-descriptive headline and I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but could anyone tell me what that "alternative thermal detonator" or whatever it is on the belt of the left trooper entering the falcon is, and if it was used on any other trooper? --------

The guy I bought it from said it was an Andrew Ainsworth Trooper outfit, so I was hoping it could originate from the Shepperton Design Studios. But I am rather new at this and I thought I might check with you guys that have a more experienced eye and see what you thought about it I don't know what the material may be made of.. I was first thinking of transforming it into a sandtrooper armor, but maybe that's a bad idea if it is originating from Shepperton Studios
