Never met him, but I've had him on my fantasy football team (Obi-Wan's Enforcers) a few times. Here is his bio page on Packers website: --------------

Same problem here. Stood for 4.5 hours on Halloween. I would have to trim at least an inch off my thighs to be able to sit, but I like as little black as possible showing between them and the cod piece.

Need help with helmet strapping stuff
Laserbrain replied to Spectre's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
You can attach it to helmet temporarily and reposition with tape and/or magnets until you get the position right, then mark and glue. -
Eric, I need to shorten the straps going to forearms. They do hang too low. On the thighs, the biggest problem I had was tapering them. I wanted them snug at the knee to avoid the "church bell" that Panda mentioned in his build. Making them snug at the knee, and making a straight cut would have made the tops too tight. Making a tapered cut solved that and they fit great. The tapered cut made an upside down "V" shape in the front where the two halves joined, so I had to mount the battery back on the right knee higher than I liked to cover the seam. But it still turned out alright. Also, I did use Velcro in the backs of thighs to be sure I got the fit correct. I will probably glue them after a few troops and am sure of the fit.

Thanks Andy. I wondered if the strap for shoulders works better in front or back. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks Jenny! She will probably get a dinner or two out of the deal.

Wife and I talked about how to store my armor and I suggested displaying it using a manequin (spelling?). I thought she would bust out laughing at the idea of a Stormtrooper being on permanent display, but to my surprise, she came home a few minutes ago from a yard sale with a manequin she got for $2.00! Awesome!

Been working on my AM build since July (helmet is TE2). Got it pieced together enough for Halloween. Here are two quick pics. Still have some work to do before it's 501st ready. I need a holster and blaster, the AB buttons are just stickers, need to paint the metal ones, finish TD pack, and my shoulder bells kept pulling away from shoulders, gonna use a single strap to run across back of neck for them. Any other critiques are appreciated. Forgot my belt in this pic. With belt.

Aye, aye Corporal.

I had a similar reaction at that age. Remember shaking my head and saying "no" along with Luke, except less painfully.

I've been working on my TK build for a few weeks, but haven't had time to work on it for the past week. The honey-do list has been interfering, so here is the conversation between my wife and I today. Me: "I'm having armor withdrawal cause I haven't got to work on it all week. I'm not gonna get finished before Halloween at this pace." Wife: (silence) Me: "How am I supposed to be a Stormtrooper when my armor is lying in pieces on the bedroom floor?" Wife: " Well, you can be a shot-to-pieces Stormtrooper." Oh how I love that woman.

Pandatrooper's AM build thread[*AM]

Yea, I don't think I've got the opening at the top of the thigh big enough. Havent cut yet them, so I'm gonna play around with them more. -
Pandatrooper's AM build thread[*AM]
Laserbrain replied to pandatrooper's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Panda quote: "I find that a lot of troopers leave a lot of room in their thighs, and I did that on my first build too. Then you have to pad it and the area above your knee sometimes has too much space. I call this "Church bell thigh" syndrome. When you walk, the thigh is swinging around! If you look at some of the promo shots, the armor is much tighter to the wearer. This is how I want to approach my build." I am sizing my thighs and am curious how tight I need to make them. I have two sets of under suit, thin for hot weather and insulated for cold weather. Using the thicker cold weather to build over so I have built everything snug so far, but the thighs are more troublesome. To get them snug at the bottom, above the knee, they become too tight along my thigh muscles. Should I make them comfortable on my thighs and not worry about the gap around the top of my knee? I'd say there is about a 1 inch gap between the return edge and the top of my knee on each side. -
