  1. Also another quick question, is it OK to use an E-11 when applying for 501st membership and for trooping until I can save some money to somehow piece together a flamethrower?
  2. Just to make sure, the ammo pouch needed for the incinerator. This is acceptable isn't it? http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=14871 I was lucky enough to buy it earlier today.
  3. Thats great, because I painted my legs a couple days ago in a thin coat to see if it would work better than my helmet, and it has a sorta textured feel to it. Going with the incenerator, I shouldnt have to sand it should i? The idea is to just get it all the same color? Thanks for your help! I hope it will be alright for me to ask even more questions when it comes time to paint the red.
  4. I used the Rustoleum "Gloss Protective Enamel" not the professional stuff but the regular from walmart. I am pretty excited about it I just need to figure out how to proceed from here.
  5. Hello everyone, Sorry for the title that doesn't really tell you much, but over the last month or so I have been thinking about doing my first kit (an ATA HIPS) in the incinerator trooper style, and i had a quick question... First, I already painted and completed my helmet. Here: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=14637&st=0&p=177737&hl=my%20first%20helmet&fromsearch=1entry177737 The helmet was painted with Rustoleum Enamel, and it took a good while to cure. As for the rest of my kit it is assembled and ready for paint, but I was wondering if I did go incinerator and weathered everything extensively (one of the major appeals to this "style" for me), if I could get away with painting the rest of the armor minus the helmet with something such as krylon that dries faster, and has less gloss. Would the difference be noticeable? Would I even need to paint the kit at all, but rather weather it and clear coat? Thanks guys, your advice is always much appreciated. Michael
  6. Looking on the 501st site, I cant even find them in the numbers on the homepage.
  7. With my helmet, I put it on until it looked smooth (too thick) and it took about 3 weeks to completely harden and cure. The helmet turned out great, but i didn't want to wait another month for the armor, so I put it on thinner and with more coats. It seems that in the last hour it has smoothed a bit. Thanks Darktrooper, your idea sounds like it will clear up whatever problems I still have when this has finished hardening.
  8. Hello everyone, I just got done painting the first half of my ATA kit with some Rustoleum gloss enamel. Is it normal for it to look rough and not smooth after painting and letting it hang? Does it smooth itself out? Thanks
  9. Hello everyone, Sorry for the second post. In my other thread I was trying to figure out why my kidney, butt, and back were not closer together.: ------ I have seen a lot of pictures of peoples armor where the shoulder bridges are glued alot further back on the chest. If I did this, I could probably lower my back and maybe fix my issue. I followed the tutorial on here for gluing mine, but is there any set guidelines these bridges? Thanks
  10. If they were shorter, I don't think the butt would be far enough down. I don't know why I am having so much trouble with this.
  11. I cant really move the back any lower... I followed the tutorial and glued 6 "ridges" of the two pieces between the chest and back. If I move the back much lower now, the arch doesn't connect it.
  12. I switched it around, but I am still having the same problems with the back. There is still a gap between the sections. I am not sure what to do, been working on strapping this thing up for about 15 hours over 2 days, and still not past these pieces.
  13. Hey Ricky, unfortunately I haven't bought a belt yet. The way I have been blowing through these snaps I may not be able to get one for a while. lol
  14. Ill turn it around, and post another pic soon. Also will try and make those gaps smaller if i can. Thanks guys.
  15. I apologize for the pics of me in my undersuit, but I wanted you to see what I mean.
  16. I am 6ft 200lbs. Mostly thicker just in the torso and thighs Should i put everything on the best I can and take some pics?
  17. Also, my ab and chest seem to be about 1/2 an inch from having a gap...What am I doing wrong?
  18. Hey everyone, I have been in the process of strapping up my check, back ab, kidney, and butt. My first question: Is it acceptable to have gaps between the back, kidney and butt? It seems the only way I can get everything to sit where its supposed to, there is about a 1 inch gap between them all. All pics I have found, there is virtually no gap. Second, The kidney plate seems to "flare" out where it is supposed to meet my ab plate, and you notice it from the front. This is undoubtedly caused by my "love handles", but is there anything I should do about it? Third, all the weight from the back pieces is making the chest pull upwards a bit, and it is making my neck a bit uncomfortable. Is there anything I can do about this as well. I am thinking of just making the straps tighter between my ab and kidney, and in turn tighter straps from the ab to the chest to try and hold it down. Sorry for all the questions, and thanks for your help!
  19. I painted it with the same Humbrol black paint I used for my ears and chin; it looks great.
  20. I bought rustoleum enamel at wal-mart a few days ago. They had the normal cans, and also some taller cans with "25% Extra" at the same price.
  21. I think it would be pretty amazing to see 4-6 in theaters,2D or 3D... It doesn't matter to me.
  22. Check it out: http://www.avclub.com/articles/first-star-wars-3d-film-gets-a-release-date,52667/ Unfortunately I hated episode 1-3, but the others I would go see
