  1. Thanks Karin...They are great I get comments on them all the time, I don't think many people down here have them...I also just need to glue them back down starting to lift off on the edges
  2. Thanks Mason, Okay I was looking at the CRL on this site, It didn't even occur to me to look at the main legion board. So basically, I need to add the 3 bump ears and new decals for the helmet to pass EIB? Would these decals be ok? http://members.cox.net/appstronaut/anh_helmet_decals.html his Hero decals the top image of the decals look very similar to the ones I already have ie thick lines, but the helmet pics they look thinner http://members.cox.net/appstronaut/anh_hero_helmet_decals.html so not sure on which ones to get? At this stage I will also make these changes: - Thermal detonater (can't believe I forgot to put it on), do you need me to suit up or will a pic of it be fine, there are pics of it on my belt in one of my other threads? - Better pic of the mic tips, will replace the ones I have with ones I got from Smitty - Paint the rivets on the torso white - Fix my shoulders - Pics of the drop boxes Thanks again everyone. Cheers Steve
  3. It was my intention to make it as screen accurate as possible but I am in a bit of a tight monetary situation, I won't bore you with the details. I have found a guy here on the boards who makes the 3 bump ears and when I get some money I will get getting them. I will also check out the decals offered by one of the other members here TK-4510 I think, my hand painting is not that great Out of these decals offered which do you think most matches the decals for the hero? http://members.cox.net/appstronaut/anh_hero_helmet_decals.html http://members.cox.net/appstronaut/anh_helmet_decals.html The image of the decals on the hero page look similar to the ones I have, but the pics of the helmet they look thinner? I am leaning towards the ANH Helmet Decals. Your opinion would be appreciated. I will fix the shoulders that should be an easy fix. Thanks again for your feedback Dennis
  4. Thanks for the feedback... What is it about the decals that are off? I know they are stunt ears I just haven't been able to get around to getting the Hero ears and I thought that the 3 bar ears weren't part of the EIB. I will paint the rivets white, although the requirements say maybe painted white.
  5. Thanks for the comments. I knew I missed something...We where taking photos of the kids for the Galatic Academy and my wifes approval pics and I was last so I think we where all a bit over the photos...I do have the thermal detonator will suit up again tomorrow and take a pic. Tube stripes are blue, might be the photo, was having a few issues with my camera. Will try and take some better helmet pics tomorrow. There are stipes on the mic tips but they aren't very pronounced. I do have some others here I have been meaning to put on will fix that and repost tomorrow.

  11. Not sure if this is the right place or not. But do I need to let anyone here know that I now have my 501st TKID now and my local garrison has approved my TK? My ID is TK5389. So I am not sure if this need to be updated on your database or if it allows me access to other parts of the FISD site...pretty keen on some merch If I am wrong please let me know and point me in the right direction. Cheers Steve

  14. Hi all...sorry I have been a bit slack in updating this but we had a big get together here on the weekend and just have to say I got my TK ANH Hero approved I had a big push to get the armour finished and I didn't have time to take more pics...sorry. I will get the pics from the GML to post up here along with some others to get everyones comments on what I need to do, I am sure there are some details I missed, to get EIB status, or should I just apply for EIB and get comments there??? Thoughts?? Ok here are some pics I had taken tonight by my lovely wife and son please let me know your thoughts and comments. Front Back LHS, there are 6 rivets there, last 2 obsured by the belt RHS The things I know I need to do 1. Change the Chicago screws holding up the belt to silver, only had brass in stock. 2. Put some straps or eleastic holding chest plate and back plate down 3. Might need to put some elastic around the shoulder bells to the bicep. 4 Need to put extra track on my blaster. I would really appreciated your expert feedback and if you want to see better pics please let me know. Once I have the feedback I will apply for EIB.
  15. I have just got the undersuit it arrived today. Dealings with these guys are great and they give a discount to 501st members. About one and half weeks from the UK to down under. Pretty wrapped as going for my appoval this weekend at a big Garrison get together. Will try it on tonight and let you know how it goes when trooping, supposed to be pretty good.
  16. glad to hear you are free mate...something to remember for next time...i have this iamge of you spinning around trying to get the snap like a dog chasing its tail
  17. Do you have any pics of that because that is what I am having issues with at the moment. Is it ok to have a angled joining strip at the back and still get EIB? My thigh muscles are largish but I still want a tapered look to the knee. Basically it ended up like a 'V' at the back with a 25mm gap at the top and an overlap at the bottom. Not sure if I should trim the excees at the knee to get a but join or leave a small overlap to glue and then put a wide cover strip on at the back. Sorry to jump in with this on your thread Rich...you suit looks FANTASTIC only hope that mine comes out half as good.
  18. You guys looked fantastic...well done. I am building my ANH Hero at the moment...I have some smokey bubble lenses in my lid, I haven't worn it for extended periods yet but after hearing about your probs I will take my stunt lid along with me on troops just incase. Probably not the best place to ask...but I will anyway where is the best place to get a set of green bubble lenses? Cheers Steve
  19. Thanks for that guys...I should have made mention that I am going for ANH...I will seperate the kidney and butt plates...as for the back and kidney plates overlapping I will have to see if I can achieve this once I have everything sorted, if I can't can they be sitting on each other? Will this affect EIB status?
  20. Hi all..I know it is a bit late in the piece but since there are a plethora of builds showing cutting glueing etc I have decided to go to the webbing... I have done the webbing except for the thighs which I am shimming tonight along with the calves...I think the webbing came out ok maybe a bit of minor adjusting but very happy with it easy to get on and off but the test will come to see how it stands up to a troop will post some pics of the internal webbing soon. The pics are of a test fitting to see how things sit and I would love some feedback. I know I have to cut off the butt plate I am just trying to figure out the easiest way to do this and I know the kidney plate is flapping around and this will be fixed when I add the shims to both sides of about 50mm (2 inches) or so. Should the back plate sit on the top of the kidney plate? When I do add the shims should the kidney and the ab plate line up at the top as shown in the last pic? Front Back Right Left Right closed Left Closed
  21. No probs...thanks Jim...I guess another couple of weeks wont kill me to wait
  22. Hi all I am needing a bit of guidance regarding my thighs. I needed to add shims because my thigh muscles are a bit largish. I am needing to put a 25-30mm cover strip on them. The armour I have is meant to be overlap construction but I needed to make it butt jointed. I need to do the same for my calf armour. My question is, in the pics below have I made right hand side (as you look at the photo) too low? should I raise it up so that both sides are relatively even knowing that I need to attach the battery pack? I have only tacked some plastic to hold it together on the inside and I can easily remove this. Any help would be great. Thanks Steve
