  1. Gracias.
  3. The AP is not particularly glossy, that's true. Karin's handguards are superb. I'm sure you'll like them.
  4. I can see all of them now. Looking really good. Must be close to complete?
  5. The newer photos don't seem to be in that gallery.
  6. I copied the location from your gallery and posted the above picture as a test. As you see, it worked fine. I then compared it with the URL from your posts where I just see "posted image" and this is what I found: Link which doesn't work: http://www.me.com/ro/jawa_001/Galleries/100167/IMG_2733/web.jpg?ver=12725996870001 Link which works: http://gallery.me.com/jawa_001/100167/IMG_2733/web.jpg?ver=12725996870001
  7. Not just you. The last few things Jesse's posted have disappeard off my radar. I even tried copying the link to another window but to no avail.
  8. Great pictures. Tidy job on the armour.
  9. That's gorgeous. Just been checking out build thread. Looking forward to seeing you all suited up in that little lot.
  10. Paul, Stop posting so much and get on with making my bloody armour! Just messing. Cheers for all the useful input.
  11. Hmmm, maybe I can ask that nice TM chap to add an extra bit of trim to my current order.
  12. I can understand this question. On the AP helmet I put together the trim kept fallign off. Still haven't found the long-term solution. For the time being it is clamped underneath the ends of the ear pieces. Not ideal. I suppose I'll end up gluing it or looking for better trim material.
  13. Hey, even clone armour must've been new and clean at some point, right? Great build, man. Te ha quedado de p*** m****, tío.
  14. The current version sits really nice and snug over a thick canvas belt. It's really secure so a permanent attachment really shouldn't be necessary. The cannister also sits directly over the velcro fastening so I can only see it getting in the way if permanently attached. Just one opinion. If I understand rightly, you make these to order so you could always do one prototype to show and offer the option in case anyone thinks it might be useful.
  15. Not sure the Welsh and the Scots will be celebrating with us but happy St. George's Day to you all the same, mate!
  16. The Battle Spec has been sanitised (i.e. it will be more symmetrical than the display Stunt helmet you have). The TE2 (as Mark rightly points out is the correct current designation) is nice and asymmetrical like the original screen-used helmets.
  17. Bottom for Stunt. Roughly like this ... ------------- (Two additional rivets at the top for Hero)
  18. From the product description for Tamiya "extra thin cement" ... This is a 40ml Bottle of Tamiya's Extra Thin Cement. / / FEATURES: This cement is extremely useful when gluing plastic parts to a / desired position while holding them in place together. / The thin cement flows smoothly between the gaps of the fitted parts / by capillary action. / The plastic screw-on lid has an applicator brush attached. / The pointed applicator tip makes it easy to put the cement where / desired. / Clear liquid. / Glass bottle. / / INCLUDES: One Bottle of Extra Thin Cement / / SPECS: Volume: 40ml / kr11/2/01 / ir/kh ... it is clear that it is a form of plastic weld, i.e. in layman's terms it melts the plastic together and does not create an additional layer of a second adhesive material between the two pieces of plastic. I can't guarantee that it is suitable for armour but it certainly functions in the same manner as the product I have (which say "weld" on the bottle). MEK (methyl ethyl ketone) and the other product seem to work in the same way. Maybe you could buy a bottle and try it on a few pieces of scrap and see how it works out. Otherwise, contact the supplier direct and explain what you're planning and ask for advice on the most suitable product.
  19. Thanks very much, Peter. Thanks for all the suggestions. I've trimmed quite a bit from inside the forearm as you suggested so I think the next step will be to attach it to the bicep and see if that improves things even more. Oh, and the reason the build turned out as well as it did ..... I was following your build photos! I thanked you here ... http://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29166 ... but I'll say it again ... Thanks! Your flickr page was a massive help.
  20. Well, maybe one day. She has already requested that I make her a hero helmet so she can be "one of the goodies in disguise".
  21. ¡Bieeeeeen! :D Y lo dicho, estoy aquí para echar una mano donde pueda ....
  22. Hey Jesse, Great thread. Keep the pictures coming. It's great to see a true craftsman at work.
