  1. Congrats Eric, it shouldn't be to much longer for myself.
  2. "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived". General George S. Patton
  3. If you still feel they are to narrow you can always fill/saturate the interior with water and wear them around for awhile. Seriously, this is a old trick that I have personally used on some rather expensive wild west boots in order for them to stretch in certain areas for a more custom fit. It works great.
  4. Damn Terry you did some trimming! Excellent thread indeed! I'm still working on the same Tupperware lite kit myself when time allows. I also opted to detach the cod piece for a little easier mobility. Its just a great idea.
  5. Excellent find indeed! Thank you for sharing pandatrooper
  6. Always check your local directory for hobby stores. I find that a lot of your finer hobby stores always carry an assortment of styrene sheets. I have also been using "Plastic Weld' here recently for tabs on my build and its working extremely well.
  7. Looks like a water or drool spot. Perhaps a little spillage during a break between scenes.
  8. Thank you DM for the link although I'm not seeing the "SWR150?"
  9. Well gang, I have received my first helmet and after an attempt to try it on I noticed its going to need a considerable amount of trim just to get my melon through. With that said, the rubber trimming they supplied me with for the bottom of this lid is going to be void, to stiff, and all around 'just ain't going to get it once I start to trim away. Question is: I've seen some mods with what appears to be a softer more flexible rubber trim. What I came up with on a search was used for automotive windows, is this correct? Still a little foggy on the details. Any suggestions? Appreciate it! TK-IN PROGRESS
  10. Did you use ABS, Styrene or PVC for your tabs? Thickness?
  11. Yes! painting the exterior of your helm white (sorry about that). Reason I asked is I ordered a separate helm as well and its going to get a paint job. Thought perhaps you might already have a perfect color match for your Tupperware kit . I will try some black plasti-dip to some of the interior parts, great ideal. I also wanted to thank you for mentioning about adding the washers with the rivets. Little details like that can make all the difference in the world, great advise! Thank you Rob, your tutorial is most helpful and appreciated. Good thing for tube stripe decals as that sure would be somewhat challenging wouldn't it!?
  12. Interesting to know. Personally I always thought they were just black full bodied leotards. Sure someone will answer that for ya.
  13. Great tip! That is exactly what I was wanting!
  14. Thank you everyone. For starters I opted for the Under Armour Compression/Heat Gear seeing how its looking like my trooping debut will take place this spring or summer.
  15. As for your helmet, did you have to paint it?
  16. Outstanding Rob! I just discovered this thread and how helpful it will be considering I went with a Lite Kit myself. It should be here any day!
  17. Got to look close as the loops are of black material
  18. I would of never imagined 6 months ago that I would be getting excited about a pair of white disco boots!
  19. Payment sent as well. Got the email last night as well! BTW, Congrats Matthew on finalizing your TK requirements!
  20. Not terribly blind. I've actually been involved with medieval reenacting for years and work without glasses. However, I've been known to wear my glasses under a full covered helm from time to time. Although, taking the TK lenses into account along with my melon being completely covered I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to allow me to see a whole lot better. Just an option I'm looking into before I make a final decision.
