Invisible Woman - Sue Storm
Femtrooper Julie replied to Femtrooper Julie's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Thanks all! I actually had this catsuit and the American Dream made for me. I can sew some, and I made the ironette, but this was not going so well when I tried it. The shiny stuff is hard to sew! These are from www.spandex-zentai.com. I also have the dark blue, non shiny jump suit on order (more Jessica Alba movie style) -

Who said photoshop? Those are super high tech and top secret I do work for the military after all! I have resources LOL! Can not forget I am a 501st girl, it is on my Mustang: hill side view: sneaking into the secret govt lab: Regular boots! I was planning on "American Dream" for my main Marvel look, but this is really getting a lot more comments on facebook and the cosplay groups. I'd love to make Dragon con! I am doing C6 for sure, and some of my Outpost members are driving up to Atlanta. after. I just am not sure if I can afford the time off from work. -
There is a big Marvel group at our con, so I am working on some various Marvel looks. Here is my Sue Storm look!

All being said, TK armor is not rocket surgery They were pretty simple for the movies, and a little attention to detail goes a long ways! (i.e. Darth Aloha!) Just read up, measure twice, cut once, and you'll be our newest shiny trooper in no time! The guys here at Pacific Outpost have it down to the point where there can do an EIB ready TK in one full day, maybe two if needed.

Lol! Smurf TKC! Love it, both with and without the blue hair! -
I've been helping on builds here, and my Outpost guys have switched to nylon strap snap plates. They just cut the 1" strap into squares, burn a hole with a soldering iron. They say the flexibility of the strap is a plus, and they used to make the plastic squares then form them with a heat gun, so this is faster. The doopy doos kit also comes with the D ring now, if you get the resin kit it is loose, if you do the Hasbro it is molded in. Sounds like a wonderful start! Keep us posted!

"Jemi", level 15 Bounty Hunter. I just got my ship
-
Yep, it is too bad they do not just tack on a 501st title to XFOR But yes, as listed above, 501st can still get into XFOR was my understanding. Sadly, it is back to work and the regular schedule for me. I'd rather just just on TOR today! LOL
-
Lotsa letters there! I got to spend some time with the XFOR guild over the holiday break. I had a blast! The groups were very cool. I kept my ears opened and learned a lot! I am now level 15, and got my own bounty hunter ship! I am hooked on the story, wow, it is SO deep! If you are thinking about starting, just do it! What an incredible game The 501st tie just makes it that much better.

LOL, why the mismatched boots? One white sole and one black

"American Dream" WIP
Femtrooper Julie replied to Femtrooper Julie's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
She actually has some armor type forearms with disc launchers, as well as armored shins. I don't think I'll get that detailed at the start, maybe later, If anyone has some ideas, or sees some pep files that might work, let me know! I like to get all the details I can right -
"American Dream" WIP
Femtrooper Julie replied to Femtrooper Julie's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
I have a femtrooper fan sending me shield I was going to buy one, but he insisted I was sorta thinking the same on the gloves. The suit has them built in, but a good pair of red leather would be nice. She has two little shield details on each boot and forearm too, I plan on adding those. Indeed Eric! Don't know why they shifted the con, perhaps a schedule problem. But we march in that parade, so we'll have to leave the con, gear up, march, and go back! And Merry Christmas all! -
Some of my fellow Outpost members already have some amazing superhero looks. We have a great spiderman, Captain America, Red Skull, Phantom, and some others. Our big Hawaii con is in April, and last year I did my ironette look for the superhero vs villains. Ironettes are hot, but they are really just dancers, and I want to kick some butt! So I researched, and decided to go "American Dream" to back up Captain America. I had my suit tailored for me since I am small. I want to add red boots, a shield, and a half mask to finish the look, plus some other little details like mini shields on the forearms and boots. Here is my start, feedback is always welcome! I know many of you guys and gals are very professional costumers of various types, not just Star Wars!

TK-8455 E-11 Hasbro MOD...
Femtrooper Julie replied to Griffin-X's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Looks very troop able! Good job! They come with counter stickers now? I am all "J!" -
I take pride in saying "Merry Christmas." I really don't worrying about offending anyone, they should be accepting of my celebration of a Christian holiday as much as I accept theirs. If they wish to respond with Merry Festivus or something, that is their choice as well, and I am not offended. We all have freedom to practice and celebrate whatever religion we choose
