  1. Oh, I got a new one in on you experienced Tk troopers! Glad to know I am making things fun around here! I really respect the 501st, you guys are amazing. I like individuality though Full gear makes me look like a short guy in a suit! I would like to get a number, but that does take quite a bit more of an investment. I know my local outpost guys are great, and they will do anything I need to help me. Julie
  2. This song is too cool! I love it! I made a little slide show of my pics, nothing new, sorry, but still fun! Can download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?rzzycdzwyoz Julie
  3. To the armed forces members past and present of all nations who help keep this world safe. Because of your sacrifices, our lives are all better. Thank you.
  4. I try to make it fun! I hope the story made some of you serious TK's at least crack a smile. The boots were not easy, but I knew there was no way to do my 5" stilettos!
  5. Thank you! I wanted to do something that had not been done before! Trooper beach patrol! For reference, that is a 9'6' long board IIRC Julie
  6. Hello fellow troopers, just a little update on my duty day! As you all know, there are very few fem troopers in the Empire! Most of us are not assigned to front line duty, we get support jobs in the rear instead. I joined right after seeing Sith Vixen's recruitment poster. It seems there is an armor shortage, and troopers like me have a hard time getting needed pieces like helmets, abdominal and back plates. At least that is what the supply NCO at my local outpost keeps telling me. He says the front line troopers have priority for armor issue. The rest of my Armor has been on back order for months now. <_< I am starting to think that I may never have a full outfit! Right after basic I was assigned to the Pacific Outpost. We have some high-speed/low-drag type troopers, but since I am just a recruit and don't even have a TK number yet the C/O put me on beach patrol duty. I still want to be a full trooper one day, but heck, it is better duty than some crap hole like Tatooine! At least there are no Jawas or Tusken raiders to worry about! The weather still gets warm, and while I wish I had the full armor, I know this helps keep me cool! I feel for you TK types wearing the full helmet all the time. Plus, it would mess up my hair! Still, we do see a little action on the beach. The C/O sent the base photographer along with me to get some shots of my patrol. They say they are good morale stories for the troops. On duty today, I thought there was a rebel landing craft approaching. I got ready with my trusty E-11. The rebel scum diverted when they saw I was protecting the beach. I radio'd into the C/O and he dispatched a patrol to investigate. They say I might get my Tk number or at least a medal for saving the base! So after that, I did some sunbathing and took a little surf! To all my Trooper brothers on the frontline, I salute you! If you ever get some R&R time out in the pacific, please let me know and I'll make sure to have a cold-frosty one waiting at the NCO club! Julie Darn Imperial MWR budget! All they have are old boards with 'pukas' (dents) all over! Engaging the landing craft! A few were sneaking up behind me! "squeeze the trigger" never jerk it! Slow and easy! Coast is clear! My unit patch! Leeward coast is safe with Femtrooper Julie on Duty! Time for a little break! Air transport is out of date on this rock! FTPV (Fem Trooper Patrol Vehicle) Surf board is not authorized! Don't tell the C/O! Webshots are here: http://entertainment.webshots.com/album/57...t=entertainment Downloads up soon!
  7. Maybe it is two people? LOL! Sux to be the guy on the bottom! J/k, but that is incredible!
  8. What a great location Panda! I'd love to do a shoot there! Great quality, I am very impressed!
  9. X2! Simply amazing. I need to get one of those! Of course, I am so far off screen authentic, I think my orange tip is OK LOL!
  10. My prayers and condolences to his friends and family. I work for the US Navy doing morale activites, the bravery and dedication of all soldiers across the world is amazing to me. They do the most difficult job with the smallest financial reward. They are all heroes. Julie
  11. I was trying not to trim too much off of mine at first, but then I found and could not drink, so it had to go! You can trim back more on the half circle part. Make sure that is lined up with the part of your arm that bends in. Julie
  12. Wish I could wear it to Waikiki every weekend! Now I need to find some events I can wear it to!
  13. I sure did! GREAT night, and LOVE my armor! Here are all the newest pics in one easy to get file! http://www.mediafire.com/?ijmtohzzfzy Julie
  14. I think a real Vader would DIE over here! Going to try TK I think, but slowly, over time. He was really impressed with your outpost guys! I think he is the right size for TK Right now, I want to get mine perfected. I am looking for a heat gun now. You all have created a monster! How was the weekend for you all? Have any cool pics/stories? Thanks for the tips too! I got to Waikiki at 7pm. Any later would have been impossible! Julie
  15. view from the Hotel New Trump Building! Nice pool! Morning after! LOL!
  16. First of I want to say thank you so much to all of you for the tips and advice. I NEVER would have made it through the night without your improvements! I had what might have been the best Halloween of my life, and I owe a debt of gratitude to FISD and TAG for getting me there! I went out Friday night, and used the lessons learned to tune the armor some more. I work for Navy Morale and Welfare, basically I manage a recreation center for the sailors. I swapped Friday night for Saturday day so I could go out. So Saturday I got up early, trimmed some more, and put un my armor at 9am. I wore it to work, and the sailors loved it of course! Then I stopped into the little fair on the Air Force base to see some friends. I popped out of it to drive to Waikiki, and checked into my hotel at 7pm. I got ready and at 8:30pm I was armored up and ready to go. I was out until 2:30 am, so it was about 16-17 hours in armor total! I had a minor wardrobe malfunction with the knee plate, and my lower underarmor is showing alot of wear, but that was the only problem. At the end of the night my boots really got me, they were very old and worn. I used them because I did not mind painting them white. I'll get some better ones soon (but may not be 501st legal, I want lift!) My guy went as a basic Darth Vader. He really wants to gear up for the 501st now that he has seen all this stuff. He's going to try and be ready for next year. I don't know if I will go 501st legal, I still say I am too short. If I told you how many times I heard the "aren't you a little short last night..." LOL! We could not get 2-3 steps without people wanting a pic. It was really amazing the attention. The Japanese tourists especially were floored! The Waikiki crowd was AMAZING! I met a Darth Maul who was a 501st guy from the Pacific Outpost. There were alot of 501st tourists in town without their armor, I could tell them because them made comments like "Hey, your Thermal Detonator is not right!" LOL! They liked the look too. I also met up with a non-501st Stormtrooper. He looked good, but the helmet seemed big to me some how? It was still a great shot, and really shows the comparison of my armor to a full sized. We stayed with the stormtrooper along time because people kept wanting photos. I must've had 1000 pics taken last night, seriously! I do plan on working the shoulder bells some, and I want to get a heat gun and try to mold the chest/back/forearms better, but the armor has came SO FAR! Thank you again to all my FISD and TAG friends. You guys and gals are WONDERFUL! So here are my pics from last night! I will get a .zip of them up later today. There are even some "behind the scenes" pics for you all!
