  1. Femtrooper Duty update 10-9-2010 Still no news on my missing ABD plate, the supply TK says it may make it any day now. I put in my transfer papers for Imperial Pilot duty, but they say I have to wait until that uniform arrives via Intergalatic parcel post before I can start training. So until I start flight training, I am just doing regular TK duty. You guys know the drill, same stuff, different planet. is it just me, or do all these outposts start looking alike after a few months? Last night I was detailed to head over to a local Cantina and check identification. Seems there are some missing droids that Lord Vader is VERY hot to find. No droids showed up, but it certainly was a suspicious crowd! We finally wrapped up the checkpoint and my suqad leader let me get some liquid refreshment! I spent the rest of the night engaged in community relations interviews, my squad leader just likes the public to know we are out there in the community. Somehow, even though I am just 4'11", I guess I stand out in a crowd. This local got a little to friendly. We ended up taking him down for public intoxication later that night! He quickly gave up. Guys do not put up much of a fight when I apprend them. Most go willingly! locals like to take photos of me, it seems they have never seen a trooper missing armor pieces before! This local claimed he was dressed as an "80's porn star!", he looked like a nerfherder to me! Still, some of the nerfherders can be sorta cute. This guy was asking a lot of questions, I started to think he might be a rebel pumping me for info! He kept asking for my digits. All of my imperial access codes are classified, and OPSEC is critical. I refused to give him any numbers! This pair was obviously impersonating Imperial Officers, we apprehended them on the spot! The outpost C/O has been looking all over for the guy on the right. We turned around, and he was gone. If anyone sees Waldo, please let me know, there may be a bonus for his capture. DISCLAIMER: This is a work of pure fiction. I am not an Imperial Stormtrooper, or even a real 501st TK. The story did not happen, it is for entertainment purposes only. The names of the innocent have been changed (however Waldo was not!)
  2. Thanks for adding me Izzy!

  3. I don't talk about it much, but at one point, I weighed in the 150 range. Does not sound bad until you consider I am 4'11"! I was a sci fi/gamer/comic book geek and did not do much outdoors or anything. That was many years ago, I jsut started working out and paying attnetion to what I eat. I am now about 95 lbs, and am alot better off in so many ways. Hang in there guys and gals, you can get there!
  4. Great Job! Love it when all the hard work pays off! I have modeled for one of the motorized bike out fits, yours would look great with an engine (that is me!)
  5. That is hilarious! And proof that females have a mysterious force over you guys!
  6. He, that is too funny Ewok PTSD...I can see it now!
  7. I know how everyone here loves accuracy I Did not know the Hero armor did not require the bell!
  8. Based on the advice of some very wise TK's, I have submitted my application to be a commisioned Imperial Officer. I hear that Lord Vader needs a good pilot to transport Starkiller around. The Rogue Shadow is supposed to be a great ship! I have some flight experience, I am sad to be leaving the trooper ranks, but I am sure flying will be fun too! And oh, all you TK types can call me ma'am and salute me But do not worry, I am still keeping my fem armor handy! Even though the the Imperial Quartermaster never got me the ABD plate, I do now have a helmet, and it offers more protection on the ground than a flight jacket! Julie
  9. Oh man, I may have to build another one, that is cool!
  10. LOS ANGELES Ć¢ā‚¬ā€œ Long before the era of Brangelina, TMZ and around-the-clock celebrity obsession, Eddie Fisher had a leading role in arguably the most explosive sex scandal of Hollywood's golden age. He was a music superstar and household name to millions of teenage girls who adored his crooning long songs. He was married to Debbie Reynolds Ć¢ā‚¬ā€ a megawatt movie star in her own right and the star of "Singin' in the Rain." They had a daughter Carrie who would one day go on to fame of her own. Then Fisher left Reynolds for Elizabeth Taylor, and what resulted was a scandal that left no doubt about America's love of a good-old-fashioned Hollywood romance story. The affair became a national obsession Ć¢ā‚¬ā€ and an early forerunner of the scandals that are now so common in the current celebrity-crazed world. Fisher died Wednesday night at the age of 82 of complications from hip surgery, and he was remembered as much for his musical triumphs as his romances with Reynolds and Taylor. Fisher sold millions of records in the early 1950s with 32 hit songs including "Any Time," "Oh, My Pa-pa," "Wish You Were Here," "Lady of Spain" and "Count Your Blessings." His romantic messages resonated with young girls in the pre-Elvis period. Fisher's fame was enhanced by his 1955 marriage to Reynolds, and they quickly became known as "America's favorite couple." Four years later, Fisher divorced Reynolds and married Taylor amid one sensational headline after another. He was Taylor's fourth husband, and the marriage lasted only five years. She fell in love with co-star Richard Burton during the Rome filming of "Cleopatra," divorced Fisher and married Burton in one of the great entertainment world scandals of the 20th century. An example of the obsession over the affair came in 1964 when Taylor and Burton arrived at the Los Angeles airport to what AP movie writer Bob Thomas described as a "seething, shouting, throng of newsmen." Taylor was trying to divorce Fisher at the time, and the two camps were exchanging a war of words in the media in what Thomas called "filmdom's most famous Ć¢ā‚¬ā€ and lengthiest Ć¢ā‚¬ā€ love epic." Fisher's career never recovered from the notoriety. He married actress Connie Stevens, and they had two daughters. Another divorce followed. He married twice more. "The world lost a true America icon," Fisher's family said in a statement. "One of the greatest voices of the century passed away. He was an extraordinary talent and a true mensch." He was loved & will be missed by his four children as well as his six grandchildren," Carrie Fisher said on her Twitter account. Carrie Fisher became a film star herself in the first three "Star Wars" films as Princess Leia, and later as a best-selling author of "Postcards From the Edge" and other books. Edwin Jack Fisher was born Aug. 10, 1928, in Philadelphia, one of seven children of a Jewish grocer. At 15 he was singing on Philadelphia radio. After moving to New York, Fisher was adopted as a protege by comedian Eddie Cantor, who helped the young singer become a star in radio, television and records. Fisher had legions of teenage fans. Publicist-manager Milton Blackstone helped the publicity by hiring girls to scream and swoon at Fisher's appearances. After getting out of the Army in 1953 following a two-year hitch, hit records, his own TV show and the headlined marriage to Reynolds made Fisher a top star. The couple costarred in a 1956 romantic comedy, "Bundle of Joy," that capitalized on their own parenthood. In 1960 he played a role in "Butterfield 8," for which Taylor won an Academy Award. But that film marked the end of his movie career. After being discarded by Taylor, Fisher became the butt of comedians' jokes. He began relying on drugs to get through performances, and his bookings dwindled. He later said he had made and spent $20 million during his heyday, and much of it went to gambling and drugs. In 1983, Fisher attempted a full-scale comeback. But his old fans had been turned off by the scandals, and the tour was unsuccessful. He had added to his notoriety that year with an autobiography, "Eddie: My Life, My Loves." Of his first three marriages, he wrote he had been bullied into marriage with Reynolds, whom he didn't know well; became nursemaid as well as husband to Taylor; and was reluctant to marry Connie Stevens but she was pregnant and he "did the proper thing." Another autobiography, "Been There, Done That," published in 1999, was even more searing. He called Reynolds "self-centered, totally driven, insecure, untruthful, phony." He claimed he abandoned his career during the Taylor marriage because he was too busy taking her to emergency rooms and cleaning up after her pets, children and servants. Both ex-wives were furious, and Carrie Fisher threatened to change her name to Reynolds. At 47, Fisher married a 21-year-old beauty queen, Terry Richard. The marriage ended after 10 months. His fifth marriage, to Betty Lin, a Chinese-born businesswoman, lasted longer than any of the others. Fisher had two children with Reynolds: Carrie and Todd; and two girls with Stevens: Joely and Tricia.
  11. Congrats! Got an email they were in stock, ordered size 8 for a friend.
  12. Looking very sharp there trooper! I am impressed!
  13. Very nice! I still have not installed my T-tracks. I'd just say it needs some weathering! Scuff it up with some steel wool or fine grit, and show some wear on the sharp edges!
  14. I will admit, I have used that exact line a few times myself! It works great on guys too And only being 4'11", I get the little short line all the time in armor! I'll remember the Ewok line, too great!
  15. I shot mine with primer, then did silver on top of that, followed with satin black. I masked off the bolt to keep it silver, then a few strategic scrapes and scuffing along edges to show the silver. I am no expert, but I love how it turned out! SO much better than just having a Hasbro I have a set of T-tracks, will add them on before I troop Waikiki on Halloween (Not like anyone there is lookng at my E-11 )
  16. I noticed the CAP armor F/S on the board, and did not know much about the history. I Did I miss it on the board? CAP is an authorized TE recast? Still being made? I am researching for a guy friend to set up a TK. I live in Hawaii, but have not gotten any response from HPDBlues, maybe he is busy filming the new Hawaii 5-0!
  17. My reputation predeeds me! Um, well I guess it is TE stuff. It is a full glamtrooper set. I do not think I can mold the chest to fit me, and the HIPS just will not take a heat gun right? My old breast plate is not bad though. The other pieces look amazing to me. VERY clean and sharp, and because they are flexible I should be able to get a much better fit. This will look 800X better than my Ritchies set. I have learned a lot from reading about you master TK types, I was clueless on my first try! I was hoping to get some help from the Pacific Outpost this time, but the guys I knew are moved or moving http://plasticarmor.webs.com/apps/webstore/products/show/1383642
  18. I did not take mine apart like Panda, I just sanded it down and glued the pieces on. I used a clear expoxy from Wal-mart, but can not go wrong with E-6000
