Your helmet might come with bumps on the ears. I just bought two helmets from him in November, and one had bumps and one didn't. I know he said he's made some changes to the helmet recently, so I assume the bumpier ears are newer, but I don't know for sure. I haven't talked to him since then.
After peeling off the stickers, I painted my non-bumpy ears and then used a pencil to draw "shadows" around where the bumps should be. Between that and painting one or two black "bumps," it won't be very noticeable if you get the non-bumpy ears.
