  1. Hi all, So after much research on here and the UKG forum I'm taking the plunge and starting my first stormtrooper build. To make the most of being able to tap into two pools of wisdom I apologise in advance to any troopers on here and UKG for duplicating content and questions - I figure that specialised TK knowledge from FISD and 'local' know-how from UKG-based troopers will hopefully steer me along the right path. For a multitude of reasons (some practical, others less so) I've gone for an ESB version. RS Prop Masters have a great website (I like to see what I'm buying before I part with any cash) and have a great reputation so I'm 99% certain I'll get my armour from them. I'm building on a budget (who isn't these days?) so with the abundance of how-to's online hope to be able to apply what DIY / crafting skills I have to trim/glue/drill/cut/sand/rivet/sew my way along the self-build route as much as possible. As I mentioned in my initial post I'm ultimately aiming for Centurion approval so aim to build to this level from the start to save rework later. I'm looking forward to getting to know folks on here and hopefully meet up with some of you on future troops! Cheers

  2. Hey everyone. I figured I would post this as it has recently come up on the Deployment Officer discussions. With respect to the Hovi tips that are supplied with the AP props kit, the front ring is a little bit thicker than optimum. Having an AP kit myself which I absolutely love, I figured I would look into a method to make them a bit more screen accurate. Please not that we have decided that at this time, this modification will be requested for level 3 approval. Here is the original AP Hovi tip- Note the wide front portion as compared to screen references. References To correct this, I used my Dremel tool with the grinding tip pictured below. Using the mesh as a floor to keep the grinding attachment steady and at a right angle to the wall, it was just a matter of carefully running the edge of the grinder around the inner ring of the Hovi Tip front ridge. Completed result with less than 10 minutes of work

  3. Greetings troopers. As mentioned in some previous posts, we are moving the forum to a new server and are now ready to make this move. On Sunday, January 5th, there will be an extended period of downtime so that we can back up the old server, move it to the new one, and make the swap. Exact times have not been planned, and these things always take as long as they take. We thank you for your patience in advance. Chris - Detachment Leader.

  4. Wow that looks MUCH better. From what I've seen I like their armor but I never noticed how thick those mic tips are. Thanks for the tutorial

Currently there are no FISD CRL's with an option to use Imperial Binders - Handcuffs ( BUT there could be, if someone builds them as screen accurate and supplies photos and references )
