This is how it was when I got it.The bottom of the ears are different to what Ive seen on other lids. A buddy of mine has a strikingly similar fiberglass helmet and I've held it and worn it. It looks very much the same as this, and his is most likely a SDS battle spec recast. I always consult that site when building/painting a helmet. About the decals, its pretty easy to notice the diference after you have been in this hobby for a while. If you are talking about the flashing in the eye sockets of the helmet it really comes down to personal preference on how much you want to trim away.
