Just a quick question, the SE-14R used to be acceptable for EIB ANH EIB status, a possible alternative sidearm for the hero version if i remember correctly? Was this dropped recently when the requirements were amended?

The SE-14R is considered an EU accessory, I don't think it's ever been in the EIB requirements.

Correct. It's an EU approved accessory. In some ways it's a bit of an FISD mascot - it shows up on our merch and branding from time to time but it can never be part of any 501st or EIB requirement, except perhaps as a "may have".

So you *must have* an E-11 to get EIB, but you *may* use an the SE-14R as a substitute when trooping.

This is a bit like the comlink/grapling hook. The 501st standard requires as a *must have* a 02 cylinder (e.g. TD), however the EIB allows you to - for ANH - use the combination of comlink/grapling hook in lieu of it when you make a submission.

Ok maybe i was dreaming it being included in the EIB options list.. i see its in the crl for the anh hero and though it may have been an option for eib.

Detachment Stormtrooper Approved Options

Stormtroopers may have the following

•Grappling hook *

•Comlink *

•DLT-19 *

Is there any chance of making the SE-14R an option for hero eib troopers?

I love the SE-14R but I think it should always stay as a may have because all troopers in my opinion should have an E-11 even if they use their SE-14R. I'm not sure that it would enhance the current standard to allow not having an E11 in order to clear as it is not a problem within the current rules to use your SE-14R.

Yeah i think having the SE-14R as a FISD detachment approved option for EIB would be cool.

I always think the main focus of the EIB should be in the armour details, and seeing as the DLT-19 is there ( i know we see a tk using this ) having an E-11 is not really needed at all for the EIB program.

I would like to apply for ANH eib soon and the only thing stopping me is the blaster, my hyperfrim E-11 is esb orientated and my DLT-19 just needs the cover to be complete.

I may just end up getting another E-11 blaster to do ANH style but i think the SE-14R would be another cool option :)

Actually it should have been an approved *option* for ANH. I've added it back in - not sure how it got omitted.
