Hey everyone! Wanted to introduce myself to the 501st community here. Pretty excited about this process and starting it all. I've cosplayed as Obi Wan and Darth Maul but I have my mind set on becoming an approved Sandtrooper. Any advise or help throughout this journey be greatly appreciated.

Welcome aboard Seth! You can get a lot of help and support here, but might want to check out Mos Eisley Police Dept, also.  They are the detachment specifically for Sandtroopers. https://forum.mepd.net/

Hello and welcome aboard, there is a lot of information which may be useful even though you are going dirty as the costumes are very similar 

 

Your costume will need to meet base standards, CRL (Costume Reference Library) for Sandtrooper is here https://crls.501st.com/mepd/sandtrooper

Howdy Seth, Welcome to the FISD Forums.  While similar, I would echo the suggestion to checkout MEPD.  They will be the authority on sandies.  Best of luck to you.

Do you guys know how long approval wait time is from the admin on MEPD forums? Not for 501st approval but just access to post, ask questions, etc.

Really depends on their staff availability, people can get busy in real life. If you still have not luck you could send a DM to the Detachment Leader, username Vf2112
