abubacar Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 Hello there. I am new at this as you can tell. So I have ran into the problem of what type of armor best suits me kind of thing. Instead of just saying my height and weight, i was curious to actually know the differences in the types. Like what is the difference between an FX and an AP. Which is better, which is worse, and why? Also before anyone suggests me creating my own, i have been thinking about it and i honestly think there is no way on this earth i could ever make a mold for something like this let alone vacuum form it (this is the only way i have seen on the internet) If there is another way please enlighten me! And just for giggles, i am about 5' 9" 140ish. I have heard that certain suits work better for certain body types. (saw someone on this board talking about an AP suit being good for someone my size??). Really just a crash course in trooper armor would be nice. (if anyone knows any really good like reference sites post 'em!) I hope to be wearing the white armor soon! Quote
Smitty Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 (edited) Dude, you are one inch shorter than me and we weigh the exact same weight. You want AP, TE2 or GF or TE. dougefresh Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 I gotta agree with Smitty -- I'm 5'11" and 150lbs, soaking wet, with shoes on, and a roll of quarters in my pocket. My GF/AP fits me great... in fact, I need to trim it just a bit. You're lucky enough to have the same dimensions as most of the troopers in the films, so any of the suits Smitty mentioned will have you lookin' like the real deal. TM would fit you too. Quote

And i know im not supposed to ask on this board where to purchase the stuff, but I've tried searching and i've tried google and still i am not getting anything.
