Finally got a kit a couple months back and it worked fine at receipt, but now with a troop finally breaking it in, it doesn’t work.

There’s no way to charge the black icomm box right?

Frustrating is an understatement. Am I SOL?

these are pricey and would hate to buy another. No mods have been. Thanks for any help!

No way to charge it. The batteries they use don't always last very long, so many years ago I created a workaround for the device.

I’ll be reviewing thanks for this! How do you open the box up?

I’ve only had this 2 months and battery dead already?

You may want to contact the manufacturer, I had mine for 2 years before the battery failed. The Icomm unit takes power from the amplifier and charges the internal battery, but when the battery fails it can no longer work.

Using an eternal battey means you can charge at any time or even swap the battery when the charge is too low

There is a single screw in the center of the icomm box in the back. Once you unscrew that, you can gently pry up the circuit board to access the battery. I buy replacements at Amazon and always keep an extra on hand.

Have connected with Uks and I’ll be getting mine modded from him. I’ll report back once I get it. Thanks for the suggestions and recommendations everyone!

I found that if you leave a cable plugged into it, it activates the battery and it will drain it. Same thing happened to me, I bought it and it worked great, got it all set up and then stored it away but I left the cable plugged in. Not even a month later I went to use it and it was dead.
