Hello from Kentucky

Hello everybody!  It’s been a dream of mine to have my own set of stormtrooper armor and to participate in all the activities the 501 is known for. It would make my life to be able to visit a hospital to put smiles on a kid’s face. 
 

I’ve been contemplating pulling the trigger on this for a long, long time. It’s incredibly intimidating to me. But every member I’ve met at a comic con have been so welcoming and supportive. So now’s the time. I know I’ll need a lot of help. I’m not the craftiest guy in the world but I’m eager to learn.

Hey Ryan,  I am originally from Kentucky, but I live in Louisiana now.  I come back up a lot because I have a lot of friends and family up there.  So, I am not the craftiest guy either.  I bought a kit and with a lot of guidance I got here, I became a Centurion TK and have been trooping for about eight years now.  It feels like a huge step and can be intimidating. However, once you do that first troop, the work is paid off and you are hooked.  You got this! Welcome aboard!

Hello neighbor! I am from the Midsouth Garrison in Tennessee, so depending on how close we are we may troop together at some point in the future!

 

You've come to the right place as I think FISD is the best resource in the Legion! Take a look through the relevant build threads and you will find plenty of tips and tricks to make your armor. Plus, so many folks here are super helpful in providing feedback and ideas!
