Uhbif Posted December 19, 2024 Report Posted December 19, 2024 Greetings to all! I'm glad to finally share my little progress here. Initially, the goal was to make only a helmet, but now I'm thinking about creating a full armor. The choice of the helmet model was in favor of Vek3d, as it most closely matches the image in the movie. During the printing process, I saw a number of flaws that I decided to fix, and my friend helped me with this. - increased the detail and elaboration of cracks - made more removable parts - redesigned vocoder - added parts from the inner underside - the entire back of the helmet was completely redesigned, bringing it to the image of the Stormtrooper from Rogue one, I'm sure this part was taken from there. - redesigned the ears. Printer - Elegoo saturn 2 Resin - Elegoo ABS 2.0 and Resione M70 4 Quote

Uhbif Posted December 21, 2024 Author Report Posted December 21, 2024 (edited) Thank you for the warm welcome! I have no other choice but to do the project to the end. Which set of armor is better? GA or Do3d? Or some other kind? And some more information about the helmet: - the lower inner part of the helmet - new vocoder, like Rogue one stormtrooper I hope that I am not violating anything with upgrading the helmet for personal use. I find Do3d are not as accurate as other makers, most go for GA files, although I know this maker also has some mcflyprint3d Really depends on the makers licence for the use of the files, modifying for personal use should be ok but doesn't hurt to ask, the maker may either add your updates or modify the files himself. I'm sure others would be interested in the updated files. 1 Quote
Uhbif Posted February 1, 2025 Author Report Posted February 1, 2025 I can provide the modified files to the owners of the model. It's not a problem. GA armor actually also needs a total remake. First of all, it's the proportions, the actor has a height of 183, mine is 182 and the armor is short for me. We also prepared the model for printing, added pins for assembling and reinforcing seams, and removable details for higher quality. I hope you can see the attached images. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted February 3, 2025 Report Posted February 3, 2025 I concur with Glen on this, and I know it to be correct through purchase of files from them. Although not Enoch, there were a stack of inaccuracies with the files I purchased, and even looking at the current revised version, they are still not accurate enough. {Tank Trooper} R1 Quote
Jedxh[TK] Posted February 3, 2025 Report Posted February 3, 2025 Fantastic work on the upgrades. Big difference. One might say, Impressive, most Impressive. Quote
