I'm going to start thinning out the armor, but should it be fairly form fitting, like very close, or sort of loose and then add padding inside?

depend on how many pies you've consumed...lol,

seriously though, as you begin to build you'll soon know how close it can fit...and still feel comfortable,...or not as the case may well be...(see above..)

generally though it's relatively close fitting...(originally made to look as though it was 'sleek and form fitting').

I'm a fairly thin guy, and as it stands now, I have padded my armor to make it fit. I didnt know... should I trim it down, so it just fits?

I like the Air Force attitude of "looks right, flies right". For some this means adjusting to your slimmer build, for others using a lot of padding or a muscle suit. Personally I think the former is better with a muscle suit being a last option. Yes, there can be a little padding but when there is 1" visible between the thigh and flesh...I think skinnier armor wins out.

Your better off having the suit fit snug, as it looks a lot better when worn. But you still need to be able to move in it. :)

This helps tremendously, as now I have a plan of action. Measure twice, cut once... almost everything down to my size. Got it.

I made mine very 'form hugging' lol

I think it looks much better if the suit looks like it fits you rather than it just being on you.

But bare in mind that as time goes on and your lifestyle may change for a bit, you'll put weight on. If you make it too tight, the armour can then be too tight during those podgy months ;)

ATM I need to get out on my bike for a bit before it'll fit me comfortably again. Still fits but it's a little tight
