Stormtrooper Armor Template

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a Stormtrooper armor template? I wanna build my armor from PVC, but I don't have armor templates that I can trace on the sheet and cut out. Does anyone have a printout template that I can use that are up to 501st standards? It would be a big help. Also any tips creating armor out of PVC sheets or armor tips in general?

Honestly, Jonathan, I don't think you'd be able to get Legion approved in self-made PVC armor, but perhaps you're a skilled craftsman, so don't let my words dissuade you. That being said, the closest thing to a template you might find will be some for EVA foam suits which some Troopers have made for their children who can't yet fit in full-sized armor. I don't have any template links at the moment, but I was able to find some build threads by searching.

My recommendation would be to go with ABS armor, and you can find vetted sellers at this link below. If cost is of concern, then you may consider ATA Works, as they are priced on the lower end. MTK/Trooperbay is another option, and I know Mike was recently running a sale.

I hope this helps! Good luck with your build!

You would have to follow the CRL's and be very close to what is seen in them https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt

Ultimately it is your GML (garrison membership liaison) who gives approval so I would reach out to him/she in your area, you can find a list of garrisons here https://www.501st.com/members/displayUnits.php

Good luck to you!

I've not seen anything like this, it would be interesting to see. Most of use get vacuum formed ABS armor from one of the approved vendors. But if you've got the skill, give it a shot and check with your GMO to make sure that it will get approved!
