My AUTHENTIC PROPS ARMOR BUILD:[*AP]

Hi,

 

on Tuesday I´ve received my AP armor kit.

It´s great nice and durable!

Here are some pics of my armor parts, I´ve just finished the helmet.

I painted all the details on the helmet by hand without the tube strips and I put some darker lens-acetate

in the helmet because I think it looks better.

 

I Will post progress pics of my other parts ASAP.

Just take a little more off the eye slots .. you're not supposed to have any lips in there. Most people are affraid (so was I) to take too much but you're just not supposed to see that little lip all around.

Ok- I made some new progress today:

- I cut out the Chest(front and back plate), the shoulder straps and the ab front plate and back. I´ve also cut and painted the ab-plate buttons.

 

I tried to do some more trimming on the helmet-hope it looks better now.

 

I´ve also riveted the ab- front and back plate together as you can see on the pics it holds down with some elastic and fastens on the other side with a snap button.

 

What do you think?

That´s a roll of velcro.

 

I used Humbrol #15 for blue

and Humbrol #5 for grey

Maybe AP includes velcro only in the newer kits.

When have you ordered your kit?

I ordered mine around May of this year.

I didn't get velcro or the elastic strap, but it's no big deal to me. Velcro is fiarly cheap and the elastic belt.. well.. it's elastic and i've upgraded to a canvas belt anyway.

yes I want to upgrade the elastic belt with a canvas one too because it looks better.

 

Here are some new progress pics:

 

I´ve finished the handplates and shoulders,and attached some snaps on the ab plate for the belt, etc...

As well as some 2" white elastic for the chest front & back.

Hi,

 

Ok- I did some small progress today:
