justjoseph63[Staff] Posted April 22, 2017 Report Posted April 22, 2017 You will need to load the photos on one by one to have them visible in this thread, Joachim. It is pretty easy to do with Photobucket, but if you need any help just PM me and I will help you out. Quote
Chopper857[TK] Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 Alright Joachim, as always nice set of RS. just handing over a few observations that were also pointed out to me on my journey. looks like your shoulder bell straps could be shortened just to pull them in a bit, white paint needs to come off cod piece rivet and i am very surprised to see what looks like allen head bolts on your TD from a commission build ??, these will probably need to be swapped out for dome head screws again painted black. but i am sure more experienced troopers will clarify these points. Good luck with your application mate 1 Quote
troopermaster Posted April 25, 2017 Report Posted April 25, 2017 Apart from the TD screws being completely wrong, the end ones should be much closer to the ends of the straps. RS always puts the cod rivet way too high. You are wearing the arms on the wrong arm and your shoulder bells are too big. They should be curved away from your chest and not flat. Quote
Joachim_Thiele Posted April 29, 2017 Author Report Posted April 29, 2017 thx for feedback
1. td : i switched the screws through the fact i'm using it as a wallet and the original screws were to long and to sharp in the tube but i'll switch them back if i have to. the measurements are matching the crl's i prooved it before the request.
2. arms: it's possible that i'm wearing them on the wrong side. on witch side has the uperarm with the bump on the inside to be?
3.bells: the straps might be to long but my shoulders are quiet big so the white straps will come out i tested it a few day's ago.
4. cod rivet: i cant switch the position without buying a new abdomen armor so thats fix. the collor is no problem if it has to come off i'll do it otherwise the rivet stay painted. Sly11[Admin] Posted May 2, 2017 Report Posted May 2, 2017 Hey Joachim, great looking armour. You fellow troopers are giving you great advice, so I will list the changes you should make. Thermal det screws, are not a big deal for EI, but if you wish to push for Centurion, we will ask for them to be changed. You should also remove the printed information on the tube. This usually comes off with some thinners very easily. Your shoulder Bells do need to come in at the tops. They should be virtually touching the plastic shoulder bridges. Its an easy fix to shorten the elastic and have them looking right. The cod rivet position will be fine, but you will need to remove the white paint from it. You have great armour, so we certainly think you should get it up to Centurion spec easily. Please also add a photo of the end of your blaster showing the D ring. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Quote
Joachim_Thiele Posted May 3, 2017 Author Report Posted May 3, 2017 Thx for the info I'll switch the TD Screws for Centurion request;) I tried to shorten the elastic on the bells but i am not amused with the result. My shoulders are to big so the white elastic come out on the right bell. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted May 4, 2017 Report Posted May 4, 2017 You have done a great job with the updates, we will be back with you soon. Thank you for your patience. Quote
Sly11[Admin] Posted May 5, 2017 Report Posted May 5, 2017 Hey Joachim, thank you for your EI application, lets go!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome and congratulations! . Beautiful job on your build. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. First off again, excellent job on your armour, and thank you so much for jumping in and making those mods to get you across the line for EIB. We can see that you have very broad shoulders and TK armour is going to sit a little differently on everyone but the Bells do look much better sitting in where they are now compared to the photo at the start of your application. I see you also mentioned you will change the Allen key bolts on your thermal Det to a more screen acurateset for your Centurion application. That my friend would be the icing on the cake for such a nice set of armour, so please do make that change Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. One thing we have noticed is the fact that your shoulder bells are on the wrong arms. If you look at the side on shot below, you can see the center ridge is swooping towards your back at the bottom. This should be curving the opposite directing and swoop forward, indicating it is on the wrong shoulder. reference image Easy swap, take some new photos and you should be good to go unless anything shows up in the more detailed set of photos needed for a Centurion application. We will mention due to recent conversations with RS Propmaster, they have been using the incorrect rivets for the knee ammo pack attachment. This is something they have now changed to again further the accuracy of their armour. You would need to replace the pop rivets with the correct Cap rivets on your armour, but this will be determined once we can confirm what type have been used on your armour. Congratulations trooper, see you in Centurion review Happy May the Fourth be with you Day Quote
