This was complicated by our postal strike, and it took almost 2 months for my hearing assist to arrive. I saw the picture with the mics under the rubber brow. That pics up sounds ok? Does it sit flush, or does it bulge out a bit? Thanks in advance for any help. Quote
ukswrath[Staff] Posted February 24, 2025 Report Posted February 24, 2025 Two months, holy smokes! That's insane Quote

Stuff I ordered at the end of November came mid- Jan. One package just arrived today! With all that said, I'm good to go now. If there are any tips on the install, that would be much appreciated. ukswrath[Staff] Posted February 26, 2025 Report Posted February 26, 2025 Sure, here's the link to the installation and operating instructions for most my systems, https://ukswrathsspeciality.com/installations-manuals/ 1 Quote

ukswrath[Staff] Posted February 26, 2025 Report Posted February 26, 2025 No. So if you put them behind there I'd make them flush with the helmet exterior. If not the rubber will prevent the mic from picking up audio accurately. Quote
dblcross[TK] Posted February 27, 2025 Report Posted February 27, 2025 (edited) Has anybody mentioned Darkside Dave's suggestions of drilling a hole in the ear bar and placing them there? at the 19-minute mark in this video. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1XweALKaE1/ Edited February 27, 2025 by dblcross Quote

Think under the brow is an easier mod to start with (for me anyway) Quote

When I used fans noisy enough to warrant a hearing assist anyhow. Edited February 27, 2025 by TKSnake Quote

Sawanator[TK] Posted March 21, 2025 Report Posted March 21, 2025 I went back and forth on this, and Darkside Dave did a nice video showing how it's done. I bit the bullet and pulled it off. I tried the earpieces that came with (purchased it off of a previous trooper), and didn't love the audio. I found a cheap par of Sony headphones, pulled them apart and put them in the bucket. Sound was GREAT! I was so thrilled with what I could hear. No complaints whatsoever. Thank's all, who pushed me to do this method. Very happy with the return. 1 Quote
