My first build - ROTJ Trooper

Recommended Posts

Looking good mate :) I used superglue gel to get the strapping glued in place. And I secured them with "Stelmax" I got from Mark

Is that Stelmax1985?

Just going through my strapping that Mark sent me - just wanted to confirm I'm using them in the right place - the large ones I am ok with - the thinner two with velcro on the end - is this for shoulder bells to attach to shoulder straps?Ā

Also, is there only one velcro strap on the ab plate to hold it to the kidney plate? I have the diagram and it shows just the one to lock it in on the left side once secured. Just checking.

did you get any creases starting to form? I don't have a heat gun so will try hair dryer or boiling water.

Some progress today - got some strapping done, bent the shoulder straps, and thought I'd start a mini fit up to see how it's going -Ā

Looking good.

I stick the shoulder straps in the oven at 170 for about 45 seconds - 1 minute or so. Just keep an eye on and feel if they are softening a bit then band them over a small saucepan.

The strapping seems to differ on armour as does the construction.

Here's another pic to throw the spanner in the works.
