hikeba[TK] Posted February 2, 2014 Report Posted February 2, 2014 So how do I trim these so they fit better? I'm not sure where I trim (which side how much etc.) Any help is appreciated! Quote
Darth Voorhees[501st] Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 (edited) Looks to me like they are over trimmed. Not much you can do but get new ears. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but i personally dont see another option. pattrooper Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 I agree with Lou, sorry trooper. Quote
hikeba[TK] Posted February 3, 2014 Author Report Posted February 3, 2014 Sigh... I was hoping if I shaved down the right areas they would fit better. I swear I left more material than is on my other helmet! Looking in to new ears and a new forearm (thats another story!) Quote
stearman_325 Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 They look a little high. Can you lower them down a little bit, and then tuck the bottoms in? Sent from my iPhone Quote
A Master Builder Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 Best way to solve this is get some new ears bud. What armor is this by the way? It happens, not a big problem, Quote
bjsavage7[TK] Posted February 3, 2014 Report Posted February 3, 2014 The ears are really easy to over trim. I guess thats why ATA comes with two sets...one practice set & one to fit the helmet properly. Quote
DroidHunter Posted February 7, 2014 Report Posted February 7, 2014 Ears are a miserable pain in the you-know-what. They do look a little high, but based on the trimming you have done, lowering them will likely just add unnecessary holes to the lid. I'd grab a new pair. Sorry brother. Quote
hikeba[TK] Posted February 7, 2014 Author Report Posted February 7, 2014 Okay. New ears trimmed and installed! Better? Thanks! Quote
