Brown1215
Hey guys I'm seeing foam used in the front of calves for comfort and filler from spinning... What kind is it and where can I get it? Thanks!
gmrhodes13[Staff]
In Aus I got mine from a haberdashery shop, they use it as chair padding comes in a square and is yellow in colour, good hunting
DizzyStormtrooper[501st]
eggcrate foam from packaging/shipping boxes. you can also go to walmart and find rolled strips of good foam, i forgot what aisle but it said it was for air conditioning vents or seals or something. Brown1215
What glue do we use? Most melt foam
gmrhodes13[Staff]
I use a contact adhesive, you coat both pieces, let get tacky then put them together, not sure what the name of it would be in your neck of the woods. On may arms and in my bucket I glued Velcro on to the foam so I can remove it if I want to wash them, has worked great so far, had a really sweaty troop Edited September 25, 2013 by gmrhodes13
Daetrin[Admin]
That's a better idea than the hot glue I used to use in the past. Man, we were so ghetto in 2005. :-p I haven't tried them in the shins, but have certainly used them in the forearms and at times biceps too. I've also used a little in my back & butt plates to get that flat look one should have.
Ditch[501st]
I used velcro on all the padding so I can take them out and clean/replace them after they get all nasty from sweat.
