Darth Hilarious
So I got this cheap crappy water pistol from Star Easy Shop (man, that place is awesome) Then I sprayed it with some undercoat (I used Killrust etch primer, that stuff rocks and actually sticks to plastic which is crazy for a paint) Then some satin black (I used cheap Squirts brand, had it left over from my E-11) Then started attacking it with some Humbrols (gold and bronze here) Then I went totally nuts on it, ended up using copper, silver, gunmetal, and matte black for the detailing and more gold & bronze obviously Still a few little touches to go, but overall I'm pretty happy with it. The reservoir shall be filled with glowstick fluid As such, this one has been modded to no longer fire and the trigger has been removed. boomshakra[TK]
Very cool - if you could incorporate a laser into it to that would be double awesome! I've had my eye on a couple of Halloween 'ray guns' to use as a hold-out weapon for my Mandolorian build, but will wait until the after-Halloween sales to pick them up. I prefer to hand-build Mando weapons as opposed to spray painting a watergun/nerf gun, but some of the pre-made stuff can be very cool with a little work. Owen91
Neat! Interesting what one can do with a simple toy using some paint and imagination!
Darth Hilarious
update: Finished, with some fluid And in the dark I also slapped an O-ring around the nozzle, because it looks way better that way
Darth Hilarious
further update: So as it turns out, the peroxide in glowstick fluid actually eats through plastic over time So don't leave that stuff sitting in there for long periods LOL whoops So I think I might paint that reservoir after all...
