Its pretty cool. I just found it out.

1. Open Windows XP and go to Start, then run.

2. Type in or copy "telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl" without the quotes.

3. Sit back and watch the ASCII movie :)

WORKS ON A MAC & LINUX OS too!

1. Open Mac OS or any version of Linux.

2. Open the Terminal.

3. Type in or copy "telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl" without the quotes.

4. Press ENTER.

5. Wait for it....

6. There you go a working ASCII version of ANH on your computer!

I use a Mac, so I cant watch it all the time.

Thanks a lot, dude -- you just brought productivity in my office to a screaching halt. There's 10 of us all watching Star Wars in ASCII now.

Hehehe ....

I believe that is possibly the deepest commitment to nerdery I have ever seen in my life. :P

Thanks for passing that on! It's hilarious!

Actually what this does is to connect to a terminal (telnet) server in the netherlands, so in theory it should work in any O.S.
