  1. I took my Anovos premiere line to a paint store and they color matched it to RAL 9016, and not completely gloss: gloss level is 75%. Not sure if Anovos is 100% screen accurate, but I wanted to match the armour with the helmet.
  2. Hi all, The greeblies on the helmet are the same small greeblies that go in the forearms or are they different? Thanks.
  3. With the glue dispenser it will be extremely easier to use, but I am assembling it without it (yes, it is really expensive!). I cut the bottom of a small plastic cup, and mix a small amount of glue in it each time. To mix and apply you can use the small plastic stick that comes with the glue or just any other small stick/paddle item that you have around. I throw the plastic cup bottom to the trash after every mix and take another one. They are really cheap. You could use any small disposable thing you have around. Devcon glue smells terribly bad and according to the label it could cause cancer, so use it in a well ventilated area and wearing a good respirator.
  4. Hi, I am trying to figure out how to correctly assemble the bíceps of my TFA TK. The CRL states that it should only have the front seam and the rest should be seamless. However, I have also heard that it is more accurate to also have the inner seam, and now it is clear that in TLJ it is going to have a seam and even an overlap. Is an inner seam acceptable for TFA?
  5. Congratulations Gonzalo! You did a great job there. Faie lives very far from you but I can drink the beers for him next time we meet
  6. I just received a PM from user johnkoffia (probably a spambot) with the typical Nigerian Scam story. I suppose everybody here is aware of this scam but just in case: ignore the message. Webmasters please have a look at it and ban the account. The message:
  7. ¡¡Congratulations Fer!! Well done brother. Will you wear it at the Training Day Parade in September?
  8. Congratulations Luis! You did an outstanding job. ¡Felciidades Luis! Has hecho un trabajo estupendo.
  9. Congratulations Rich!! Your TK and double EIB in less than 24 hours! Has to feel like christmas.
  10. Bring the ESB one! You will have all those problems you say, but I definitely want to see it!
  11. It is an outstanding job Rich, you are an invaluable addition to the Spanish Garrison.
  12. Congratulations Manu! Well done. We are becoming Eibspanish Garrison
  13. That's a neat build Manu, and great upgrades since the last time I saw you in armour! Good luck with your deployment.
  14. I think Damian's is a great idea. It will help bringing to the detachment people that cannot speak English at all or whose English is not so good and they were not attracted to the forum until now. Once they are in, they will become more involved with the other sections and activities of the detachment. I don't think it involves any hard work at all, just create new sections of the forums and the content will be taken care of by the members themselves. Damian, as GXO of the Spanish Garrison I have contacted the Detachment Leader and the XO to talk about this
  15. What do I need to do to have my picture in the EIB roster? Do you need me to send you a photo?
  16. Thank you very much! Yes, I am the first one. I hope this will encourage more people from my garrison to do the same. I hope Dmian finishes his armor soon, then we will have two EIBs in the Spanish Garrison!
  17. I had this pic around. I didn't include it in the first batch because the light is not very good, but if it could do I would save having to call a friend to take new pictures, having to wear the armor, etc And here is the D-ring of the blaster. It is moulded in the end-cap piece: Let me know what you think.
  18. The button colours are the right ones for ANH . I used the Humbrol paints: grey #5 and blue #15. It is indeed a requirement for EIB approval. It is in the base requirements: "Correctly colored and sized ab plate buttons. Buttons are approximately 7/16" in diameter."
