Griffin-X[TK] Posted December 8, 2011 Report Posted December 8, 2011 Hey guys...I have started the journey to becoming a TK. I'm already a Shadow Stormtrooper and a Scout Trooper, but have always loved the TK. From the 1st time I saw them in 1977, I WANTED WHITE ARMOR. I picked up a great AP set from TK-4702 (Jesse). This armor set is really nice, and has killer strapping. I've got an AP helmet showing up in a few days and will begin building it soon. Boots, blaster, and all other parts are on hand. I appreciate all the advice and tips you guys have provided. THANK YOU! Stay tuned... Quote
senna1rossi[TK] Posted December 8, 2011 Report Posted December 8, 2011 AWESOME! i'm excited for you, Jim!! looking forward to the progress. Hey guys...I have started the journey to becoming a TK. about time!! heh heh Quote
TK_LEPER Posted December 8, 2011 Report Posted December 8, 2011 (edited) Glad your'e happy with it! Seeing that box... I feel like I sent my 1st born off to College or something like that. LOL! Edited December 8, 2011 by TK 4702 Quote
Griffin-X[TK] Posted December 8, 2011 Author Report Posted December 8, 2011 Update: Got my bucket today! I do not have much history on the maker but I got a deal on it from a fellow trooper. It is smaller, like an AP, but not made of ABS. It has 3 ear screws and is hand painted. There is a signature inside with "STUNT 2007 Ch!@#$%^" - can't make it out. More pics coming soon...Any clues? I'll be making a few mods inside but I really like how it looks with the armor...perfect match. Quote
vecspeed12 Posted December 8, 2011 Report Posted December 8, 2011 Thats a nice lid. Maybe cap? What did the seller say it was? Quote
Griffin-X[TK] Posted December 8, 2011 Author Report Posted December 8, 2011 (edited) Thanks Joey! The seller had no idea and acquired it overseas. Here's the side and inside signature. I appreciate any help on identifying this lid. I know it's not ABS, or HIPS. It may be some light fiberglass material. I dig it. Edited December 8, 2011 by Griffin-X Quote
Griffin-X[TK] Posted December 9, 2011 Author Report Posted December 9, 2011 (edited) It turns out the mystery helmet is made of some sort of Polystyrene plastic. Still not sure who made it but it's cool! Edited December 15, 2011 by Griffin-X Quote
geordietrooper Posted December 9, 2011 Report Posted December 9, 2011 i think the sig may well be mr caps Quote
Griffin-X[TK] Posted December 14, 2011 Author Report Posted December 14, 2011 Still not sure on the helmet but got my padding worked out and love it. I also received my awesome custom TD from TK-4702 (Jess). Great work man! So, I'll be wrapping up a few things this weekend and working on some pics. Stay tuned... Quote
Femtrooper Julie[501st] Posted December 14, 2011 Report Posted December 14, 2011 Awesome! I love the black and shiny, but nothing is as cool as classic white! Quote

Griffin-X[TK] Posted December 17, 2011 Author Report Posted December 17, 2011 Good one Danny...! Okay...so I got the whole thing completed this weekend. Let me know what you think... Quote
senna1rossi[TK] Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 SHWEET!! LOOKS AWESOME! I can't believe you got it done so quickly! You have like the perfect TK figure... must be nice to be relatively skinny. heh. Are you able to have a slight overlap at the front chest and ab piece? and how aboot lowering your belt 1/2" to just clear the bottom ab button rectangle? You look great!!! (much better in TK than the TB armor.... heh heh) Quote
Griffin-X[TK] Posted December 18, 2011 Author Report Posted December 18, 2011 Thanks man. Yeah, I did not have the ab/butt high enough for the chest to overlap. This was my first fitting. I'm 6 "2, a little tall for a Stormtrooper but skinny works! Quote
captsafe66[Admin] Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Wow, that was a fast build, maybe I should quit researching and build my helmet. Quote
Griffin-X[TK] Posted December 19, 2011 Author Report Posted December 19, 2011 (edited) I did another fitting and adjusted the gaps and snaps w/the chest. I'm still adjusting the biceps.. Edited December 19, 2011 by Griffin-X Quote
senna1rossi[TK] Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 AWESOME! looks great! i like the tree pic Quote
Femtrooper Julie[501st] Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 What a fast build! Looks like you were meant to be a trooper, it is a nice fit! Congrats! Julie Quote
Griffin-X[TK] Posted December 20, 2011 Author Report Posted December 20, 2011 THANK YOU! I got word back from my GML that I'm an approved TK! Quote
TK_LEPER Posted December 21, 2011 Report Posted December 21, 2011 (edited) Wow, that fits you perfectly! Just one thing... I would wear the biceps a bit lower. Other than that it looks good. Jess Edited December 21, 2011 by TK 4702 Quote
Griffin-X[TK] Posted December 21, 2011 Author Report Posted December 21, 2011 Thanks Jess...I worked them out to hang lower. I appreciate the great hook-up. Quote
