lookin good Gaz! Id say raise up that brow trim on the forehead a bit.

Are the shoulder straps free floating at the rear? Looks like they are velcro down in the pics. Not sure if the free floating is an EIB requirment though.

thanks dude! :)

as far as i'm aware, the straps only need to free float for Centurian? No problem to take the velcro off though

(just noticed that the left one hasn't been secured properly for the pic!)

is the brow trim too high even for Hero?

Looks nice! The right sheen is closed the wrong way and the hero has 4 Snaps to attach the holster. Is it just me or are your shulder bells a bit small? I think thats an easy fix ;-) nice work!

And the Hero helmet must have 2 screws not 3 per side.

Sorry i saw you allready write that before ;-)

Great to see other EI helping review EI threads :)

You're correct that shoulder straps must free float in back are not EI required but most EI do them.

However if you want to rock the Hero look then yes you'll need to remove the middle ear screw and also add two more fasteners to the holster. I'll agree that raising the brow a tad will help as well.

thanks for all the comments and feedback, you guys rock! :D

in respects to the brow, i'm guessing it's more down to interpretation and personal preference, rather than necssarily a requirement? I like the brow to sit low, as it's an easy and very definable way to identify the Hero :

and apparently the brows weren't fixed, and actually moved (?!), so the line of the brow would be defined by the angle that the actor had their head (my brow is like this!)... here's one of me (with John Danter) at a troop last week (brow sitting slightly higher)

NSC-032.jpg

but i digress ;)

to recap then... new ears, possibly free floating straps, new hovis, belt above the butt plate; change overlap on right shin

all comments and thoughts still very welcome, keep 'em coming B)

For the brow it's more the concern that it's overlapping the eyes, rather than being at the border above them. You can go as low as you want as long is there is no overlap.

thanks for the clarification armata_PDT_37.gif

i think it's more to do with the angle the pics were taken at... and when my big old head is in the bucket, the brow pushes up stormie.gif

hi Gaz, besides the details noted above you have pretty much nailed the hero ;) two things i can see are (as you pointed out) the ear screws, and also the ANH Heros' EI states that you must have "four rivets, snaps or Chicago screws" attaching the holster.

and for the ears (as you already know)

when you take your new photos with the fixes be sure to send me a PM so i don't miss the update ;)

keep up the good work trooper :duim:
