TK bondservnt[501st] Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 here is a photostrip for the most recent build I've acomplished. from build to base coat. Quote
Quebectrooper Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Nice! So how much would cost a complete kit like that one? Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted October 25, 2010 Author Report Posted October 25, 2010 this is the final photostrip before shipment. Quote
Defiance7x13[TK] Posted October 28, 2010 Report Posted October 28, 2010 I now hold the above blaster in my hands as I speak, and let me just say this thing is bad @$$! It is way heavier than I would of expected, and I am very grateful ! It also feels very sturdy, and it fits my holster also provided from Vern perfectly! Great Job Man! Everyone who's held it so far has been extremely impressed. Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted March 19, 2011 Author Report Posted March 19, 2011 I have also created another one of these just finished up this week, so far I've made 3 ANH version blasters. one london prop store ESB version. and an ESB greeblie stunt version. 5 blasters so far! here's some more photos showing a recent build. TANGO'D FETT Posted March 22, 2011 Report Posted March 22, 2011 Nice builds vern , see you take the time to do the inner barrel as well, a lot of people miss that out What t track are you using on yours ? Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted March 22, 2011 Author Report Posted March 22, 2011 currently I use tapered rake tracks. I could consider on a build by build basis to use a different type of track. if a customer didn't want the type of track I'm using, then I'd use a different kind? I am seriously considering making moving bolts. I have the inner barrel, bolt and inner spring so far, so there's just some redesign on my attachment system to make a partially moving bolt. having the inner spring made out of a 120v coax brass wire might not be strong enough for the paint to hold up. probably would have to use the rubber coated black wire for my springs on a "moving bolt" style of blaster. do you have casts of the end cap for the ROTJ? I really need that and the trigger group. I've had a couple people ask about the ROTJ parts I purchased from you. might want to make a small run? eventually I'll be offering aluminum tubes fitted with APEX parts, and I have 3 eagle hengstlers!!! does anyone have a line on 3 original scopes to go with it? zsavk[TK] Posted May 16, 2011 Report Posted May 16, 2011 Thanks for these great shots Vern. Used this alot to help me make my kit. what color do you recomend for finish coat? Satin, Gloss or flat Black? Quote
TK bondservnt[501st] Posted June 30, 2011 Author Report Posted June 30, 2011 you should paint the scope brass. the front of the hengstler is also brass. the base coat of the blaster should be steel, not chrome. the grips should be gloss black and the trigger group should have steel areas and flat black areas. all weathering should be very subtle and minor.
