  1. I'm calling you on that Matt It wont happen. You and I know that. Its about power - always has been. Cheers Jez
  2. Matt this isnt a "bash TE" thread, but more of a "BUYER BEWARE" thread. You can list all the excuses you want but like I keep saying - HOW COME SO MANY PEOPLE RAISE CONCERN ABOUT THEIR DEALS WITH YOU? You're answers has them all wrong, and you right. Funny that! Oh and dont accuse me of "threatening" you when I haven't. I'm sorry if you're feeling the pressure. Cheers Jez
  3. Nice try in turning the tables but it just wont work here. Bottom line is your master has a long history littered with lies, bad deals, and people feeling royaly ripped off. Mike V, Gino/Dave G, AA, Brian R, Stormtrooper John, etc. etc. The list goes on. and on. and on. The guys on this board so he can answer for himself. You condone his dodgy practices. Cheers Jez
  4. Did I - can you show me that thread? Jumpin Jax, you seem to leap to Matt/TE's defence every time someone dares question the motives of your master FACT - TE screwed Mike V over the 3d Scan. Mike confirmed this. FACT - TE threw his toys out of the pram when AA decided to ditch him and bitched about it on all the forums. TE then acts as witness for LFL against AA in the US Default Court case. LFL drops TE's evidence from the UK case when they realise what a liability the guy is to their case. FACT - TE accused Gino and Dave G of "stealing" his moulds on the RPF until the weight of evidence forced him to fall on his sword and admit he was wrong, then blame his medicine or something. Got himself banned. TE now says he started legal action against Gino. Gino says "untrue - show us all the docs to prove" so TE slinks away, his bluff called. He cant post anything as he LIED about the legal action. FACT - TE sold his first helmet to Brian R WITHOUT telling him he'd recast it (and that almost every helmet out there is a direct cast off it) AND that he'd replaced the brow with modern trim. Nice! FACT - TE is banned from RPF, RPB, Mos Eisley, Prop Den. On the RPF this may have been self-imposed but on the others it was not. People are tired of his lies and immoral attitude to the hobby and he is banned. FACT - TE tries to convince Stormtrooper John that his original RotJ armour and helmet were not real. Offers $15k and 2 suits to let him buy it instead. Brandon Alinger, Andy G and myself all check the suit out and confirm its provenance. John releases the emails from TE to show the depths the guy will go to. FACT - TE has "sold his moulds and left the hobby for good" about 3 times now and every times he comes back, polishes off his "NEW" set of moulds and goes back into production. Leaving the previous buyer bemused that he's been sold a pup. So I say it again. HOW COME ONE PERSON CAN BE INVOLVED IN SO MANY DEALS THAT HAVE GONE BAD???? Cheers Jez
  5. Well people who know their history of ther "Armour/Helmet Wars" will know that there is absolutely no love lost between Gino and myself. However it seems Gino has asked some very pertinant questions - and yet again Matt is unwilling to answer - because he HAS NO ANSWER. This thread reminds me of the original RPF thread 5/6 years ago when Matt first claimed that Gino and Dave G had "stolen" his moulds, only for thim to retract his statement when a flood of evidence proved it was bunch of malicious lies. Those of us who have been in this hobby for several years have seen this same process from Matt again and again and again. It has got to be more than coincidence that Matt could have been involved in SO MANY DEALS THAT HAVE GONE SO BAD where the other party has either lost financially and/or has had to put up with the usual "TE Hate Campaign" AA, Gino/Dave G, GF, Mike V (the 3d scan fiasco), Guns, Brian R, Stormtrooper John (original rotj armour matt tied to convince him was fake so he'd sell it to him), etc. etc. etc. People - just think about it. HOW COME ONE PERSON HAS ALL THESE BAD DEALS HAPPEN AROUND THEM? WHY is he banned form so many boards (RPF, RPB, Prop Den, Mos Eisley PD, etc.)? I think you all know the answer Cheers Jez
  6. Jumpin Jax - you seem to be getting a little sensitive when anyone dares to question the self-serving, money-grabbing and immoral motives of your master. TE's helmets and Armour are all over my site. If I were truly biased then I would have removed them rather than describe them in the glowing terms I do. Hardly bias is it? Matt asked me to to refer to his stuff on my site as "Anon" a few years back since he was concerned at that time that LFL would be all over him. That was before of course he went to see LFL as offered himself as "star witness" in the US LFL v AA default case - got himself a nice trip to the archives too. Two years ago last May I broke off and and all dealings with AA. As others have said I WAS too close. Not now though. So its your turn now. Maybe its time you realised that your constant, and almost adoring support of Matt has to stop. Rather than being able to bathe in his reflective glory, his numerous dirty deeds have you tarred with the same brush. Like him it seems you're becoming the laughing stock of the hobby. Cheers Jez
  7. Agreed. My advice is dont rush it and just have fun. There are plenty of places on the web with help and assistance - here's a nice site with a great tutorial on adding poppers, well worth a look. http://www.tonybarnett.plus.com/ More in my links section Cheers Jez
  8. How long you been waiting for???? If I were you I'd contact him my email asap and demand you get the missing parts. I hate it when this sort of thing happens Hope you get your stuff Cheers Jez
  9. oooh, blimey dont open up that old chestnut Seriously though if youre talking about the stormtrooper helmet family tree then thats something that could be debated your hours/weeks/months/years. The jury's out (almost literally since the case is ongoing in the London Courts) over AA 's claims over his rights and whether he has the origional moulds. The page willcertainly be updated dependant on the results of that trial. That page IIRC is at least 2 years old so could dowith updating. Cheers Jez
  10. Of course he'll be back - he's had more comebacks than Elvis Wow - charging people to look at pics Just a reminder to people that the biggest collection of photos of real helmets and armour will always be available from www.StarWarsHelmets.com. Updated regularly And it wont cost you as penny! Cheers Jez
  11. I would agree 100% with this post. IMO its a simple choice and AP is the way to go. I would also agree that Gino's armour is more accurate than both AP and TE's but since its not so readily available I understand why people may not consider it due to its rarity. Cheers Jez
  12. Jumpin Jax, As part of my post in this thread I made a comment that imo people should also be aware of WHO they are buying from as part of their overall decision. I did not mention any names in the post yet you appear to be picking me up on something I have not said. I can only presume you thought I was talking about your friend/partner/master TE who it appears does not have the most reliable history for delivering on his promises - which possibly explains why you decided to butt in. So unless you've suddenly become a mod on this board I suggest you STOP trying to tell others what they can and cant post! Finally, I presume by calling me "Jeremy" you believe you are trying to bait me . Like I've said to you before my online name is Bingo Bongo275 and I sign all my posts "Jez" so you have a choice which one you would like to use. Do...YOU...under...stand? Cheers Jez
  13. Great attitude guys - the bottom line is we wear this stuff to have fun and hopefully at the same time raise a bit of cash for the various charities we support. Like I said before, just make sure youre buying your armour from someone who's going to deliver it WHEN you're expecting it and that its going to be up to the rigours of trooping. If you think there's a doubt concerning the vendor you're interested in - dont use him! There are plenty of providers out there - chooose one that will be right for you. Cheers Jez
  14. Maybe so, although being sued is not the same as being found guilty of anything. As far as "telling fibs" I think we could all accuse your master TE of that - following the "irregularities" with his numerous "retirements" from this hobby, selling of moulds and subsequent disputes etc. etc. If people are looking for "buyer protection" - why not see if the vendor accepts credit cards - thats a sure way of playing safe Cheers Jez
  15. Matt, I don’t think I would have called myself his “spokes rep”. If that’s the case then owning StarWarsHelmets.com has meant that over the past 5-6 years I’ve been the “spokes rep” for just about every helmet and armour maker out there, including yours (you just asked me to refer to them as “Anon” on my site so I did). If you check out “your” page on my site you will see that I could hardly be seen as negative towards the helmets and armour you have produced - suggesting I am not quite so impartial as you would suggest. Like anyone I can only go on the information available to me at the time. If subsequently it proves to be incorrect then I update my site, and have done so for many sections including SDS’s. However the Jury’s out (almost literally)regarding the provenance of AA’s helmets so we’ll just have to wait and see. Whatever happens, my site will most certainly reflect the outcome. However the difference between us is that it seems to many that you have milked this hobby for the past 10 years. It appears that a number of “irregular” agreements with others have gone very sour as following your “retirement” and re-entrance to the hobby, the disagreements with previous buyers ALWAYS seems to follow – as the mods have said…. Add to this the “misunderstanding” with Mike V and your misuse of the scan of the SFS trooper helmet (again following yet another “retirement”) and together it paints a pretty clear picture of someone’s true motivation towards the hobby! If you feel that pointing the finger at me will somehow deflect people’s attention on you then you are clearly mistaken. Cheers Jez
  16. Hmmm, it looks like my post was deleted too. To summerise... If someone has a history of producing, retiring, selling moulds, then re-emerging, producing, retiring, selling moulds Then doing it again And again You have to ask yourself whether this person is genuinely trustworthy in ANY transaction. Can anyone buying his "moulds" really believe that they are the original ones and not another knock-off set? Or is he given them the originals but making a new set for himself before he does this? There's a hell of a lot of trust in these transactions that is clearly being abused, and as consumers you have to decide whether you want to risk your hard-earned earnings with someone with this pedigree! Again just my 2c Cheers Jez
  17. My advice...... 1) WHATEVER you do - you MUST go ABS if you're going to troop in it. Of the armour that I've seen I've always been impressed by GF/AP and had a set that I hammered for years without any real wear-and-tear showing. Ive recently seen TM's and again its really well built. 2) Buy from someone you KNOW will deliver in a timely manner. I've heard just too many stories from certain people who take months and months and months to deliver the full suit. Excuses like "I'm ill, I need to take time out, my dog ate my moulds" just dont cut it for me. The pain of waiting an age for stuff to arrive (and then potentially replacement parts) is just not worth it. If an armour maker has a reputation for delivering slow - AVOID. Just my 2c Cheers Jez
  18. What - just like what you've done Cheers Jez
  19. It just sounds to me like some people have such a serious feeling of insecurity that they need to feel ?boosted? by thinking they know something that others don?t! I think we?re in Shrek territory here - Lord Farquaad and his castle  Cheers Jez
  20. John I absolutely do NOT mind you posting my pic - in fact i positively encourage it. Like you said, its EXACTLY what sites like StarWarsHelmets.com are for. And that mirrors my own attitude towards this hobby - that if we share information we're far more likely to get to the bottom of all of the unknowns that still exist. Which is why your post Gino leads me to dispair. Whether you mean to wind people up or not, your post is a perfect illustration of whats absolutely wrong with this hobby. If I paraphase the conversation it went like this. Gino: "I know something that you guys dont about x" Matt: "I know it too, but I'm not going to say it. Ive always known about x" Gino: "Well I'm not going to say it either" Ainsworth (via 2 sources) "X is caused by a, b and c. Its simple really" Gino "no its not that, but I wont say. I know something you guys don't about x" (repeat ad infinitum) In summary, I agree Gino that you have an excellent knowledge in Stormtroopers. But then there are also a number of other people(including myself) who also have an unnatural knowledge on something so bland, but hey its our hobby. Sometimes we're right and sometimes we're wrong - thats the great thing about this hobby. So to expect people to "take your word for it" is a rather odd mix of of arrogance and naivity. And frankly I question your motives for starting this in the first place. I can only imagine your fears about revealing your hand is either one of two scenarios: SCENARIO 1: Gino's correct - we all applaud his reasoning. However he now knows one thing less that others dont - so feels he's "lost" something SCENARIO 2: Gino's incorrect - he things he's lost face (which he hasnt as were all human!), so feels he's "lost" something. Which leads me to the conclusion that you think you're in a no-win position. So to be honest i really dont care what this "thing" is. What I do care about is that you are so perfectly emulating someone who we both have such utter contempt for. Jez
  21. Then I too can tell you definitively that it IS why. We know for a fact that these things have caused bumps on helmets both regular and irregular. I'm not saying that there are not other reasons, and maybe your theory has merits. However without saying what it is, you cant expect others to just take your word for it so it merely remains "Gino unproven theory # 365". Just cos you think its true dont make it so! Cheers Jez
  22. Can I also say that ANY pictures I post here, or are looked at on www.StarWarsHelmets.com can ONLY be looked at for 5 seconds, after which I'd appreciate it if you would put your hands in front of your eyes and scroll down the page. Please respect my wishes - 5 SECONDS ONLY PLEASE 1...... 2...... 3...... 4...... 5...... OKAY - I WANRED YOU - I'M CALLING THE AUTHORITIES!!!!! p.s. this 2nd one is the bumpy version Cheers Jez
  23. Gino, I've detailed precisely why there will be uncommon bumps, and regular repeated bumps. The former's due to the nuances of the material used and the affect when heated/cooled, and the latter due to imperfections, contaminationa and mould breakdown. If you are saying there's an additional reason then you really need to define your theory. I've provided evidence thats back mine up, so with respect youre not in a position to expect others to trust your own hypothesis. Not wishing to be difficult Cheers Jez
  24. Thanks guys. 50 Stunt Helmets were made for ANH, and 6 Hero's Cheers Jez
