  1. yea i got the UK CE helmet and its great. it looks a little different than it shows up in this pic but it looks great, so i didnt have to put my helmet together. i planned out exactly what i was going to do before i got the armor so i just started working cause i had the supplies. i did alot the night i got it and worked alot on it the next day. since then ive only gotten the shins done though so its goin a little slower now but its fun to do. thanks for all the nice words guys
  2. yea i was wachin g4 and they said that their should be more costumes like yours or somethin. YOUR FAMOUS
  3. Hey amish trooper is that realy you in the picture cause if it is i think i heard them talk about you on g4
  4. yea thanks for the info. i just didnt know. im definitely going to let it sit next time. maybe even two days cause i want to be careful. good thing i have allot of clamps so i can let more than one thing sit at a time. do you guys think if its ok if i have a little gap or should i go back and redo the arms too. i was planing on doing it if i ever thought it affected the look of the armor. to give me an excuse to work with my armor longer^_^.
  5. well i found a temporary solution. i got industrial strengeth velcro ad used the adhisive to hold the two peices together. it looks fine. haha. i just put the velcro on the back. ad i think im going to put velcro from the abb plate to the back and chest armor instead of directly conecting them if this doesnt work im hopping i can do a better job with the old method. thanks for all your help. do you thik this stuff will work. you guys are awesome.
  6. realy it says full strength an hour and i put it o for 5 minutes but i didnt think i put to much force on it i gues i try to reglue it and let it sit.
  7. sorry for the double post i mst have hit the post button twice.
  8. i got devcon epoxy. it says super strength 1250 psi for concrete, glass, metal. plastic, and rubber. 60 seconds working time 5 min handling time. for my forearm peices i lightly sanded each side but they came apart so i fixed the problem areas and it seems to be a little better now but it still comes up in some spots a little. but my biceps are like totally coming apart. i didnt sand them hoping to avoid any bad parts like on the arm but it didnt work. i sanded put glue on one side(which i heard you were supposed to do, used these black clams with orange tips on every part. it says 16 piece spring clamp set and it comes in a clear bag. i know ive said allot but any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. thats awesome. also to keep your lenses from fogging you could spit in your helmet like the scuba divers but who wants to do that.
  10. hey guys. i am putting my armor together and when i tested out my strap to hold the chest and back plate together i noticed that the elastic wasnt pulling the back plate all the way to my lower back plate and you could clearly see the velcro inside the back plate. what can i do to get rid of this problem. should i leave the chest and back unattached or try to use less/a stronger elastic?also i used the dev con plastic weld i found at wallmart and it is coming apart wherever their is to much stress do you have any advice? thanks
  11. yea i did. i guess thats why
  12. i just got my armor yesterday and ive been working on it. i didnt do the legs yet and i know my drop boxes are a little sideways and i didnt finish putting the webbing on my chest and back plate but what do you guys think. are their any suggestions on what i should do i just realized that these are reversed images. like in a mirror. i dont know why
  13. is it possible to sit down if you dont cut the back
  14. thanks for the info. i just cant spend the extra money on a rivet tool. heard you can hammer them but someone told me they cracked their armor like that. my kit comes with "nuts and bolts" so ill see what comes in it before i try to figure it out.
  15. if i dont want to use rivets on my armor can i use plastic weld or something. do you think glueing the parts people rivet would cause any problems
  16. for your glasses i would put fans in your helmet. that might help with the fogging. they will probably fit in the fx helmet but i dont know about some smaller ones like RT. there are allot of mods people do to carry stuff. ive seen people with thin cell phones but a back on their drop boxes so they can put it in there. i imagine you could put a wallet or $ in there too. you can put it in your holster. or like on daves garage on youtube and put elastic in your thermal detonator to keep it closed or open it for easy access. i hope this helped
  17. do you have to order a whole role from their what am i ganna do with 108 feet or elastic
  18. aww. what if you tapped it alot and someone held it. haha
  19. would taping the pieces together help because you have more freedom to move it around
  20. did you do that after trimming the back to fit and glueing the front of the thighs
  21. i think i might actually use that idea. what a good idea. i was worried about where i was ganna get all my strapping from. i think im ganna use it in combination with suspenders though. the only thing i am worried about is , will the leash reflect and make the webbing noticeable holding up the thighs or something like that. because i dont want to finish only to notice that you can see my webbing
  22. the thing i am most worried about is making sure i have space in between the shin and thigh pieces. i figure you should trim at the top but how would you keep the curve and make it look good.
  23. i cant get a girl friend as it is i hope the tk doesnt make it worse. not that i care all that much. if she still likes me even though she knows i have a tk it will just show that she is a really cool person
  24. i now have a good idea how to set my armor up but i am worried about trimming. how do you know how much to trim. especially cause i am short and need to do allot of it. what are some things you did to help your armor fit you. and what tools should you use to trim cause i looked into it and couldnt find much info on it.
