  1. The kiddie helmet? Come on, gotta have SOME standards
  2. The gray helmet is a TE SFS fiberglass, the red was an experiment to see how red HDPE worked for other applications. The bust is some reject parts on a head and shoulder dummy with my Kershner helmet.
  3. True of coat hangers and true of rabbits, this is what happens when you leave projects alone for a while: Man I am behind
  4. Geek: All the time, rarely used as an insult anymore Freak: Never. But then I live near Seattle, it's far too relative a term The only time a carload of drunk idiots tried to give me static, they made a slight mistake. "Hey man, get out of the road, Darth Vader!!!" I was in ST armor
  5. Is there a crack? Or perhaps the former owner wanted to stiffen it a bit?
  6. Yes, the camera committed suicide over the affair I think that video beat Pulp Fiction on the F-count.
  7. Post link, get on it...(writing) Got it! I'm also going to get a new voiceover from Matt, the old one's sound isn't as sharp as I would like; just because it's video doesn't mean it should sound like it.
  8. That's more or less the story. I've actually known the guy for about 8 years It's at the SCIFI Museum in Seattle on display at the moment. JJ
  9. Celebration.........in...........JAPAN?!?!?!?!?!?!? I want to go! No idea where it is, don't care! Wanted to go to Japan for years!!!! Got any bunking room, run? Trade you some better shoulders
  10. Back when I was goofing a bit with my OLLLLD video camera, and Matt was a hair from selling the SFS(Dave M) helmet, I decided instead of a bunch of pictures I would shoot an interview with them both. Granted, TE did the talking but the helmet never disagreed It was more than a year in his hands before selling it, and I think I filmed this a week or so before it was sold(I never procrastinate today what I can procrastinate about tomorrow) I'm looking to firewire(or whatever you do with a VHS camera to upload the footage to PCs) the tape and put it on youtube for all to see. (some anyway, can't give it all away when making a docu!) But for now, as I don't have screen cap software, here's a few pics from the footage off my TV. Yes, I am SO behind Shame I didn't get more of the background, it was a cool guestroom! It was cool getting to hold the helmet, seeing the interior(nope, didn't get to film that). I forgot to ask to try it on, too But it's cool to be in the same room as something so iconic. After I get some footage uploaded, I'll work a bit more on the docu which also includes video with the Luke Ceremonial Jacket and its at the time owner, the Death Star, and a few other major props. My the film be with you! JJ
  11. None. So either show something that proves SOMETHING you've said, or lay it to rest. In fact, don't reply again without proof, actual proof to back up what you have stated here. You have repeatedly said that you can PROVE where the TE2 molds come from that conflicts with the facts of the matter. So do it. Now. Don't post ONE more thing until you have proved that Dan did not make the TE2 molds using old ROTJs at his disposal. The burden is on you now, you keep saying you can prove it. DO IT. NOW. Prove where the TE2 molds came from, NOW. Not one more complaint, insult, or allegation. Because if you say one more thing about people being liars and thieves or ripping someone off without ponying up what you have been "threatening" to let loose, everyone here will be able to see in high definition that you are not telling the truth. And you aren't telling the truth. This is not a bash thread, nor a self-plugging thread or a "buyer beware thread." PONY UP YOUR INFORMATION, or be silent. J
  12. Honestly, after gino starting EVERY SINGLE FIGHT ON THIS BOARD SO FAR, how is he not banned yet?

Wouldn't be the first site to do that
  14. I have my old TE in rotj that has gone crazy with yellowing in the clear coat, so it's about time to Sandy it up. I've been thinking out a few ways to do this, one in particular I know works stunningly well, just takes a bit of doing: I once took a TIE armor set to work to sandblast off the Rustoleum finish as you can't re coat it. I blasted the black off of the white pieces, and HOLY SMOKE did it look cool! Black smears were embedded into the plastic, never to be removed. The surface was rougher and looked ancient. I ponder painting my suit a dusty brown and trying the same trick, but a little hesitation is holding me back. What are your best methods for making a permanent or temporary sandtrooper? JJ
  15. I've heard rumors about the recast, but this sounds like a decent Nay on that.
  16. Sorry, that was unclear, he started a thread on the Prop Den declaring matt a thief etc and the man who claimed so admitted he was wrong there. JJ

This is the same BS going on for years and I came back with the same calling out that you've always deserved. Nothing has changed but your involvement and constant ripping on Matt in particular. Just a wild thought here; if AA is no longer your boy and you don't want any part of the mess, have you made any move to atone for plugging his wares to so many customers and forumites? You tore into EVERYONE that questioned the authenticity of AA molds and the shoddy nature of his project. Have you apologized to any of the people YOU helped rip off? Money-grabbing, self-serving, immoral...who the hell are you to even try painting someone else with that brush? JJ
  18. He's rude to people like you in public forums. That's about it Sorry, the Verta scan? Did he not just state that it wasn't his to play with? On a thread YOU started no less? Got your pants pulled down on that one, I must say. You have the same problem with info for not being gino's drinking buddy, you tell tales to paint people you dislike as a bad guy. You consider yourself some kind of Stalinist man of the people, but you just threw in with the greatest FRAUD in the hobby's history and it's falling apart around you, where do you get your halo from? Now, again, if you don't have something to contribute besides 3rd hand petty complaints from people who don't even care enough to voice them or fictitious crimes that you cannot prove in any way shape or form(that would be where the fiction comes in) then CLAM IT. This history is going to be written and made widely available, and it won't include people's gossip used to bolster your own poor self-esteem, or your non-friend gino's. You might as well accept it, there's nothing you can do. JJ
  19. Again, you've not missed but avoided the point. You started the bickering. You can't get into it, it was you that brought it in. This is not a buyer information thread, AGAIN. You were asked to talk about your own armor, and ONLY your own, as a historical point, so just do it. Exposing and telling tall tales is not the same thing. Talk about your own molds, BS or not, then give it a rest. An apology doesn't matter when you'll offend again, and again, and again. You've been told what the TE2 suits were made from yet: "Also, still waiting for a response to my questions about what you used for the TE2 molds. So is everyone here." I see acknowledging isn't your strong suit. The TE2s were revised ROTJ molds made by Dan with Matt's molded parts. Question answered. Don't like the answer? Tough. Now despite all this, I am interested in your work on your own molds. So go for it, and actually do this thread some good.

So TE armor is on there now?
  21. I'm sorry, I'm too busy laughing right now After all the yakyak on this thread you have done, you lacked the most BASIC POSSIBLE KNOWLEDGE about Matt during those years. i mean every newbie RPFer knew Matt was making ROTJ suits, everyone! Nothing you say has any credibility, nothing. How can you when you accuse a guy of not having what everyone else knew he had? That makes you far too ignorant to state a case, my friend. GF got molds from Matt and nearly got the prop world shut down by LFL, his fault. Guns has not been cheated or ripped off in any way. Mverta? I guess you missed the fun on the Prop Den. He admitted that he had no rights over the scan of the helmet, publicly. You're running out of windmills to fight, gino. "Either way, it still doesn't account for the recast GF anh pieces that Matt/Dan used for their TE2 armor." Be.......cause..........they......didn't........use.........recast.......parts. So you admit he had molds? Wow, big of you know that I'[ve told you about them. Very impressive that I've educated YOU. Well not really. I'm sure you don't know this, but the ROTJ suits looked like crap before they were molded. Mold of crappy thing is a crappy mold, it's funny you trying to make that Matt's fault too. poor vacuum forming...jeez.....any insult you can fit in. Dan did the work, and made them what TE2 is today. Like it or not, you have nothing to site here as a grievance on anyone's part. Warning Dan? That's just desperation, shameful. Anyhew, this thread will go on with posts you're just going to hate. Tough. Your slander and hateful comments are nothing more than that. I dismiss your expertise and testimony, you have nothing to add to this thread. But I'm sure there is no amount of napalm in the world that would stop your tirade from continuing, so have a great time. The facts that you loathe will continue even more strongly. When you say something true, I'll give you a compliment, I promise. Just don't hold your breath. JJ
  22. Yes. I will ask Matt what the exact deal was between them, but you are correct.
