  1. I personally like the hard hat liner because I sweat like crazy. I wouldn't want to deal with yanking out and replacing foam that has a funk The plus to foam and foam like substances is you don't have the bobble head affect.
  2. Steven, Thanks for joining the board. Lot's of folks showing interest in your handywork.
  3. You know, these could be high RPM fans hence the noise....
  4. Sounds like a great project. Put me down on the interested list as well.
  5. I know Carlos is bored today because he is posting like a bat of hell... I had lunch with a client today (which is typical), at a new Sushi restaurant.
  6. I take it you guys have already seen the new movie??
  7. For those of you following the new Legacy of the Force books... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . http://www.starwars.com/eu/lit/novel/news20061003.html Your Chance to Name the Next Sith October 03, 2006 Your Chance to Name the Next Sith ]Jacen Solo has embarked on a journey to the dark side. Long out of step with the rest of the new Jedi order, the powerful son of Han and Leia has traveled to the ends of the galaxy, uncovering new and potentially dangerous avenues of Force study. When the galaxy once again approaches the precipice of war, he sees a solution that will bring order to the chaos. That solution requires him to fully embrace the dark side, become corrupted by its influence, and emerge as the newest Dark Lord of the Sith. These events are being told in the new Legacy of the Force series, now in its second of nine books. By the fifth book, Sacrifice by Karen Traviss, Jacen will reveal his Sith name -- a name that Star Wars readers will supply. It's your chance to name a Dark Lord of the Sith and make an indelible impact on the Star Wars galaxy -- an impact that will be felt by all the major heroes. Find out how you can leave your mark by heading here, and entering the Darth Who contest today. [ Go to the link above for more details and the area to submit a name]
  8. Good to know, if I have problems I will ping you
  9. Great looking armor. I really like the fit, very little unsuit showing! Oh and do something about that dewback, patroling will be kind of tough
  10. Any ideas where or find white ABS? I kinda of like using ABS cement so I can some flexibility in replacement or movement of parts. Problem is, I can't find any white anywhere in the San Jose area. I've checked Orchard Supply, Home Depot, Lowes all have black ABS.
  11. UA Heat Gear (get those sweat away from the body)!
  12. I actually use Under Armor because I sweat like a pig. I need that ability to pull the sweat off my body. So for me, UA kicks butt!
  13. First off, I defer to the experts (example: Troopermaster). If memory serves I believe I have read that stickers are more accurate for ANH helmets. If memory serves. Now, if you are a skilled painter (I'm not) I think the paint would look better long term. Keeping the black lines straight and clean on the front vents could be tricky. That's my opinion.
  14. Here is what I did to avoid the slipping biceps: 1. I have a snap connection from my shoulder bells to the connection between the chest and back armor (so its centered) ------- 2. The shoulder snap is connected through a piece of elastic that runs inside through the bells. ------- 3. My biceps are then connected to same piece of elastic via a snap and held up and inside the shouler bells. ------- 4. To keep the bell from flopping, I attached a small piece of elastic around the biceps attached at the bottom of the shoulder bell. ------- Does this help?
