  1. Great looking armor. I really like the fit, very little unsuit showing! Oh and do something about that dewback, patroling will be kind of tough
  2. Any ideas where or find white ABS? I kinda of like using ABS cement so I can some flexibility in replacement or movement of parts. Problem is, I can't find any white anywhere in the San Jose area. I've checked Orchard Supply, Home Depot, Lowes all have black ABS.
  3. UA Heat Gear (get those sweat away from the body)!
  4. I actually use Under Armor because I sweat like a pig. I need that ability to pull the sweat off my body. So for me, UA kicks butt!
  5. First off, I defer to the experts (example: Troopermaster). If memory serves I believe I have read that stickers are more accurate for ANH helmets. If memory serves. Now, if you are a skilled painter (I'm not) I think the paint would look better long term. Keeping the black lines straight and clean on the front vents could be tricky. That's my opinion.
  6. Here is what I did to avoid the slipping biceps: 1. I have a snap connection from my shoulder bells to the connection between the chest and back armor (so its centered) ------- 2. The shoulder snap is connected through a piece of elastic that runs inside through the bells. ------- 3. My biceps are then connected to same piece of elastic via a snap and held up and inside the shouler bells. ------- 4. To keep the bell from flopping, I attached a small piece of elastic around the biceps attached at the bottom of the shoulder bell. ------- Does this help?
  7. If you guys try anything with a portapottie I'm checking myself out at the door.
  8. Here is a unique take on Armor storage versus the typical oversided tubs. Looks to works well for non airline required travel. Check out Dagobah swamp:-----------
  9. He should add a helmet strap for future flips. That way the helmet stays on.
  10. Crazy but funny. That armor must have pinched the heck of out him.
  11. Looking forward to reading and watching your progress
  12. Yeah, I like how 5/6 of the outfit is the same. Its all about how you "see"...
  13. Good point!
  14. Team, Our Sergeant at Arms Carlos has created an animated banner GIF file for usage in SIG files. Please point your html market to the following URL: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/index.php...=post&id=61 or directly reference the GIF file at: http://www.whitearmor.net/uploads/wan_sig.gif Please, use the GIF and advertise our group to our sister sites! The Command Staff of your proposed Stormtrooper detachment will sincerely appreciate it! Regards, Ed
  15. Troopermaster is of course very correct. I committed to the glueing option early which worked well for my forearms and biceps. However, I didn't measure the thigh well enough and I'm still swimming in them a bit. I've read on several different sites that if you can glue the forearms together then you have less risk of ripping up your undersuite. Unless as Carlos noted you very carefully trim the velcro. Jaida, does this help and answer your question?
  16. That's why I'm working on a AP helmet. I look more like your avatar in real life that a trooper.
  17. The latest Secrets of Star Wars '07 on Hyperspace features a great picture of "new boys in white." The caption below it says: "An uncertain era produces a number of specialized Imperial forces." If you have access I suggest you check it out...

If only for the fact I am a collecting fool did I pick up yet another copy of the movies I have in all sorts of ... formats.
  19. Hey Carlos, are you in thinking about TK BIG armor?
  20. Exodus

So, who picked up their DVD's today? I purchased a set at Target and I found a the tin set at Best Buy. Now, to find time to play the new Lego Star Wars game.
  21. And if you have any questions ask before you glue / rivet / paint anything. We are here to help!
  22. Thanks for all the warm responses. At this point I'd say the first logo for the "First Imperial Stormtrooper Corps" aka Stormtrooper Detachment is closed and completed. Thanks for all of those who provided feedback and suggestions.
