I used the spare abs from my FX belt to fill the side gaps on my TK suit. I abs glued it to the kidney piece, but I don't have a lot of room to velcro the ab section onto the other side. I don't want the velcro pokin' out, but I also cannot abs glue it either. I was thinking of strapping the inside somehow. Do the side gap fills have to be flush with the ab and kidney sections or can they be more loose as if I had used a piece of canvas or such underneath to keep it all together. Any ideas would be great. Thanks guys.

I'm sure I'll be gamin' on my ps3 this weekend. Gotta love the MK vs DC. But most of my weekend will be finishing up my FX suit and finally gettin' it on. I'll post pics of my gear probably next week.

So is it worth returning them and paying the $10 return fee, or get insoles and live with what I've got?

I received my Caboots today, and I have a question for y'all. Since I have yet to troop I have no idea how these things hold up. Vader Dave is helping me put all of this together and he said I should order a 1/2 size bigger than my normal shoe size. Is this because my feet will swell when I go trooping? I'm a size 10.5 and I ordered a size 11. The boot stays on my foot ok because of the elastic on the ankle, but I can shift my foot forwards, backwards, and side to side about an inch each way. Is this normal or should I send them back and get the 10.5 or even 10? Thanks guys.

Thanks for the support guys. Not to get off topic, but what do you guys think about TK1421's dual fan system? Will it work in my MRCE? I'd hate to spend $30 to find out it doesn't even fit. My face is almost right up to the frown as it is.

I highy recommend the MRCE. I love its symmetrical look and after a few fairly easy mods it looks great with the FX armor. Plus $100 ain't that bad. Here are some side by side of the two. --------

I read you should make 1-1 1/4" squares. What size squares go where? I'm putting this together this weekend and would love to know exactly how to do it. Thanks guys.

Do the top ribbed pieces that connect the chest and back plates need to be positioned a certain way for elite status? Or can I position them to fit my body more?

I received my FX lite yesterday and I'm a little confused as to the widths and lengths of elastic to use. The instructions were somewhat vauge. Anyone have any ideas?

Good question. I thinned mine out, but it was a real pain in the butt. I am very happy with the result however. I am going for elite and didn't want there to be any hold ups.

I pulled my ears off the other night....my MRCE's that is. I didn't want to be called Dumbo trooper. Now I'll be filling in the seam around the ears and frown with caulking tonight (no paint method). I feel relieved to see the helmet with the armor together. I have yet to receive my armor and was worried they might not look very good together. Your setup looks great! :-) Will you be getting the resin or the hasbro blaster?

Is that the MR CE helmet...and if so, did you modify it at all?

Did you buy it new and how much did it cost? I looked at one today at play it again sports. They don't seem thick enough or enough in the helmet for good coverage in the MRCE.

Ok very small hole in one ear..but I can fix it no prob. Everything else went smooth. Next I have to get the glossy caulk and fill the holes and my chin seam.
