SublimeBW's Armor Master's (AM) ANH Stunt Kit - Build Thread
dblcross replied to SublimeBW's topic in ANH Build Threads
Dang Rebels! always up to no good! -
So I'm waiting on one thing before my photos. Dave sends a really nice pair of Nomex gloves that I'm sure I'll be using for trooping but, (I think maybe this is the first time I've said this)I've got high hopes I want Centurion! So I contacted Justjoseph to get a pair of rubber gloves and another set of latex hand guards. They should arrive Thursday! So to keep me occupied, cause my wife says I'm OCD and have to be doing something all the time, I painted the handles and latches! Man, they look cool! It's all my stuffs!
-
Turned out great. Just need to finish taking pictures for pre-approval. I left room for my TK number to go above the cog in a similar manner. I'll paint the handle and latches after work today if the rain holds off. Mod Podge FTW!

Hopefully I didn't screw up! I'm 5'11", but when holding the plates together it didn't sit right for me. I've got to paint my side rivets then I'm through, but the boss told me I had to leave town for work like yesterday so I'll be in a rush to get everything approvable before May 4th. Fingers crossed! Your build looks great btw! I was just curious what your thoughts where. .

https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/40831-ajs-of-am-20-build/?do=findComment&comment=656482 AJ Talks about it torwards the end of his build. the bottom of the backplate on AM molds flare out and push the backplate out past the kidney plate.

I'm curious what your plans are for the back plate wing.

I'm with Kyle on this. I didn't heat my belt at all. Heat gun scares me with abs unless im making V-tabs. And yes, I had like 3 or 4 sheets of paper from Dave talking about the belt. Good thing he sent 2 in case we are wrong about having to heat it.

I hate snaps! lol.
-
Please do!

Yes! a white crayon is the way to go! It worked perfect

@kmwilson343 has got a great kit. It's what I went with. Although I added @justjoseph63 metal sterling folding stock .I was really pleased with his E-11. Heres some pictures of mine.

Snaps are not my thing! I had so many screwed up snaps it isn't funny. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk

Last thing on my list to do is the elastic holding the shoulder bridges in place. Going to paint my storage rig. can't wait till it's done. Got my wife in the shot lol. Using this stencil should be cool. Full kit up pictures coming soon.

Snap popped apart from the bell to the bicep. I need to make it a dbl snap.
-
Ab and TD details. Plus I got my arms attached but I think now I should shorten the forearms at the wrist cause they are rubbing on the hand plate and I feel like the spacing at the elbow is good. Thoughts? What a sad plant! This is my son's bathroom btw. We don't go in here much

So these pictures aren't the best cause my helper is at work but I couldn't wait! Man, this stuff is hard to get on by yourself but I'm sure it gets easier. The rear crotch snap wasn't going to happen without me standing on my head so my rear looks rather large! There's a lot of clanking going on when I walk and I can already tell you I need to trim more out of the insides of the thighs. Might go with a piece of foam for the inside of the sniper plate to keep it off of my knee. The double cap rivet in the ammo pack on one side popped right off when I was taking everything off. A helper is vital. The back of my belt isn't lined up good enough. I think I'm going to replace it with a split rivet and washer. I feel like I'm close. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
-
I'm no expert, but they look close.
-
After assembly is how I did it. Like Kyle said it helps to have the abdomen on so you can look at the final trimming.

Ok I understand the diagram, top right is now. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
