Thanks for sharing. So if I get this right, you added another strap for the shoulder pouch and that one had snaps to connect it to the should strap for the backpack? And does that pack always go vertically? I thought I saw some that has the pack sideways a little bit?

Hi everyone, I'm just starting to plan my HWT mod for my TK. I've acquired a backpack, ammo packs, extra belt, participation and dlt-19 I'm looking to get started on the belt and ammo packs but realized after looking through a few build threads, I'm stumped on a few logistics. 1) do the hip ammo packs just sit there on loops, or do they snap onto the belt? 2) I've read some posts where people attached the should pouch to the pauldron and some say to the pack strap. I assume this one snaps on? I think those are all my questions for now. Looking forward to joining the ranks soon.

I went back and forth on this, and Darkside Dave did a nice video showing how it's done. I bit the bullet and pulled it off. I tried the earpieces that came with (purchased it off of a previous trooper), and didn't love the audio. I found a cheap par of Sony headphones, pulled them apart and put them in the bucket. Sound was GREAT! I was so thrilled with what I could hear. No complaints whatsoever. Thank's all, who pushed me to do this method. Very happy with the return.

I've read that, but I'm not sure I want to go through that much work. Think under the brow is an easier mod to start with (for me anyway)
-
Do you leave these sticking out, as in the picture?or so they sit flush with the brow? The rubber doesn't impair the sound?

Ya, hit right before Christmas. Stuff I ordered at the end of November came mid- Jan. One package just arrived today! With all that said, I'm good to go now. If there are any tips on the install, that would be much appreciated. Cheers

Wow, time flies when you get busy. This was complicated by our postal strike, and it took almost 2 months for my hearing assist to arrive. I saw the picture with the mics under the rubber brow. That pics up sounds ok? Does it sit flush, or does it bulge out a bit? Thanks in advance for any help.

So you have any pictures how this is done? Just picked up my mic kit and now figuring out how to install it best. I like the sound of this option Cheers,

Thank you for pointing out that I was missing photos. I must have misread the guide I was looking at. I have edited my original post to include those pictures. Please let me know if I am missing anything. -

So I've continued tinkering when I have had time (which isn't much). I tried fixing the TD clips, drop boxes and shoulder bells, shins, and calf armor gaps. Here are my thoughts, 1) I trimmed the shoulder bells, but I'm hesitant to trim and more. They look good from the back, but I may not be able to get the back better than it already is. Most of the issue is with my body side. My chest/torso are way out of proportion to my arms, so I get this large gap at the front (I've included a side picture to show how close it isn't. If this is a deal breaker, I understand. If any one has any tips on how to trim these without making it worse, please let me know. 2) I can't quite get the butt plate and closer. I have have to go back and look at a rigging system that is different that the current set up. My butt/gut are definitely causing issues (it is indeed time to trim some weight). 3) I can't seem to get the shins any lower unless I trim some from the bottom right above the foot/ankle, so I could slide it down a bit. I tried a hot water bath to re-shape them a bit, but I don't think that will hold. 4) I did some mobility cuts on the calves, but I still need to close that gap a bit. Trying to find a way to do this, but it eluded me in the short time I had to work on it. Also found a crack in the shins, so I devoted my time to fixing that. That's all for now. Any feedback is always appreciated. I feel like I"m close, but I don't want to submit unless it's real good. -

Thanks for the feedback. I really do appreciate all your help and attention to this. I will work on these things. I'll make some observations below. Feel free to chime in on these if you have any insights. Feedback from EIB was too lower the forearms, but I didn't mean to drop the biceps. I think getting them sitting properly should solve the forearms issue, but I'll be mindful of that when dressing next. I tried getting my shins lower. I really couldn't. I have very large feet (size 14), and my feet really slope a long way. In this shot, the shins are basically digging in the top of my feet. The only way to get the to sit lower would be to trip the bottom of the shins (making a bit more of an arc). I might try a hot water bath to re-shape them a bit first. My shoes are not close to coming out when I walk, so I guess I'm wondering, do you think it's a CRL issue for the shins, or just a practicality issue with the boots? For the butt, I'll see if I can tighten that up a bit The Han snap was placed with measurements from our armorer, as long as it's not an issue, I may try to submit with it rather that take out the snap and relocate. I didn't enjoy doing that with we misplaced our rivets. Obviously, I'll move it if I need to in order to get it right. I will address the drop-box issue. Sometimes it's fine. I usually just give them a bit of a tug, and they are ok, but I'll try to lengthen the straps a bit For the thighs, again, I was following our armorer instructions (he uses a spray paint can to make the shape) and said he does that for Centurion, which is why I did it this way. I will try to add a but of an edge to it. I've been having issues with the calves. I'm wondering if I cut them on an angle of something. Would I be able to put a shim piece behind them to bridge that gap from behind? Been struggling with the TD clips. I will try to improve them for sure I'm worried if I curve the shoulder bells, it would actually make them look farther away. I have a big chest, and closing that gap has been my biggest concern. Biggest worry is that if I cut it, I can't go back. Cheers
